  1. Interesting. I returned back to my older PC with Windows 7 and there I cannot find this issue. The new one has Windows 8.1. So I think that it can be related to 8.1. Noctunoir300, what Windows do you have?
  2. Hello Aslain, You are welcome! Thank you very much for your dedicated work! This modpack is a very big and essential help in this game. I'll be happy to be able to give some valuable help to your efforts and I hope I can help making this modpack even better. :) Kind regards, V3nn3V
  3. I nearly forgot to mention that I tested it with version 4.1.7.
  4. I have found the cause and solution to my issue. First I realized that I could not open the _Aslain_logs.zip file. Windows gave an access denied error message though I was logged in as an administrator and neither the WoT Client nor the mod pack installer was not running. I thought that resetting the permissions of the World_of_Tanks folder and everything under it to the inherited permissions should solve this problem, but that process still gave errors for certain files including the _Aslain_logs.zip one. I checked the permissions of this file and saw that I had even no permission to read the permissions of the file (logged in as an administrator but without UAC). I had to reset the ownership of the file to be able to see its permissions. Then I saw that only the Administrators group and SYSTEM had full control to the file and no other including inherited permissions were assigned for some reason. Without UAC I had not received this full control. That resulted in not even having the read permissions access. Then I searched for these files, reset the owner on them to my user account and repeated the resetting of permissions of the World_of_Tanks folder and everything under it to the inherited permissions (Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object) successfully at this time. After this both mods started to work though I have to repeat this process every time I run the modpack installer. Additionally this caused many other mods to start working I had problems before. To sum things up: This problem appears if the user running the game is not a member of the Administrators group or it is the member of the Administrators group but User Access Control is enabled. The problem itself is caused by many files being created by the modpack installer with no inheritable permissions enabled and setting only Full Control permissions to only the Administrators group and SYSTEM. A prompt solution can be:Run the WoT Client with Run as administrator privileges. Reset the permissions on these files to receive the inheritable permissions. A longer therm solution can be to create these file with inherited permissions. The list of files I had problem with is:res_mods\0.9.5\gui\avatar_input_handler.xml res_mods\0.9.5\gui\gui_sounds.xml res_mods\0.9.5\gui\scaleform\MeltyMapProtractorSetting.xml res_mods\0.9.5\gui\ServerCross2.xml res_mods\silouhette.xml res_mods\xvm\configs\Aslain\markersAliveNormal.xc.orig _Aslain_logs.zip I think that this may cause many other problems others complaining about in this version. May I ask you to check these files if you have the same limited and not inherited permission entries configured on them?
  5. Hello Aslain, Thank you for checking it. Probably it means that it depends on something locally on my PC. Would it be possible to create logs that can contain something that may be useful to get closer to this issue? Can you give me some guidance on what to look for or verify to help in the investigation? To be honest I did not faced the same issue on my older PC with a very similar, but older setup (WoT client installed version maybe 9.3 and updated to 9.5, and your modpack updated from an older version through many steps to 4.1.2). Is it possible that this issue appears on new installations only, but does not appear on older updated installations? Additionally no one else commented to this post so it may mean that these issues do not appear at others... Have you been able to check the uninstallation issue? Furthermore I can see a lot of other issues where some of the components do not work since the 9.5 update, but those are not so annoying than these and I think/hope those will be corrected soon.
  6. Hello Aslain, Yesterday I installed WoT and this mod pack (4.1.4) on a new PC. Unfortunately enabling many mods caused the game not entering into the battle. In fact it was stuck at the battle loading window and I could use F4 only to exit the game and I was unable to return until the battle was ended. I was nearly banned for inactivity, spent a lot of time without playing and missed the premium day. I poked around a lot enabling and disabling mods and found two of them causing this. Both causes this alone as well: Zoom-out (extends default zoom out range) / 100m away max (I have tried 300m as well with the same result) and The 6th Sense settings / Sound alert / Metal Gear with with extra sound at 10 sec. I tried these with version 4.1.2 and today with 4.1.5 as well without any differences. In the meantime I had discovered another issue when I uninstalled the modpack. It removed the 0.9.5 directory from res_mods and the client did not start at all with a complaint about that. Creating the 0.9.5 directory corrected this issue. May I ask you to check and correct these please? Finally, now I can play with the rest of the mods enabled. Thank you. Kind regards, V3nn3V _Aslain_logs.zip python.log
