  1. I have not been experiencing any problems. We will need your _Aslain_logs archive from your WoT folder in order to assist you though.
  2. @FeralJim: I have never experienced any differences between installing them from Curse.com or Aslain's mod pack. If you are finding differences in the sound, that has something to do with the fact that you're installing into res/audio, rather than res_mods/0.9.2/audio. The other possibility is that Gnomefather recently released a hotfix for his mods that are included in curse but not the mod pack, or the other way around. Depends on who applies the hotfix first. When manually installing sound mods, you should copy and paste your res/audio folder into res_mods/0.9.2/ in order to get the res_mods/0.9.2/audio folder. From there, any sound mods that you install should be placed into res_mods. Never add any mods into res/audio unless you know exactly what you're doing. Also, CyberSpy is correct. Aslain's installer downloads compressed mods, and then extracts the contents into your Game Client. The full 400 MB is still being placed into your Game Folder, but Aslain's mod pack only has to download 150 MB or so during the downloading phase in order to lower the strain on your WiFi, as well as speed up downloading. After the .zip files are downloaded, Aslain's installer automatically extracts them into your Game Client, which is where they will take on their full size.
  3. I would want to think that this is very incorrect. Either that, or I've been out in the sun for a bit too long. I'll check this out in-game... I either need to slap the Wiki or slap myself. :P
  4. Usually I don't watch anime... I've watched some, but not much.
  5. Spaced armor causes an early detonation of the shells, but higher caliber ammunition still should have no trouble at doing some damage. It may increase the chances of a bounce, but it doesn't guarantee it. Also, chances are that it would say "critical hit" rather than "ricochet" when hitting spaced armor, since your shell technically detonated.
  6. Your shells lose penetration power over distance. Almace is incorrect where he says "starting at 100m". Your shells begin to lose penetration at a continual rate from the very moment that they leave your barrel. Also, the velocity and caliber of the shell are contributing factors in normalization. The higher caliber the shell is, and the faster it travels, the less penetration it will lose over distance. As for Rickster's question, HE shells will bounce if they hit an amount of armor that is significantly greater than their penetration capabilities and caliber. Higher caliber HE shells will have lower chances of bouncing due to the sheer size of the shell. For example, a T49's HE shells will bounce off of almost any target that has more than 50mm of armor due to the very small size (76mm) and low penetration values (38mm) of the shell. However, a KV-2's shell will practically never bounce off of any target that has below 300mm of armor. The KV-2's shell is a 152mm shell (absolutely massive in size), and has 86mm of penetration (one of the best HE penetration values in the game). This means that the KV-2 will do damage to every tank in the game, regardless of angle, except for the T95's gun mantle. The KV-2 still will do approximately 100-200 damage to a T95's front, and will only bounce 50% of the time off of the T95's gun mantle. The T49 would bounce off of even an M4 Sherman's front though. The larger the shell and the more penetration power it has, the less likely it is to bounce.
  7. I'd prefer to be outdoors during the rain. :P
  8. Aslain was aware of this issue and has released a hot-fix of this issue. I believe that you simply need to download the latest version of the installer for the mod pack. If that doesn't work, use Curse.com to manually download and install his sound mods. HR Gun Sound Mod: http://www.curse.com/wot-mods/worldoftanks/historical-realism-gun-sound-mod Gnomefather's engines: http://www.curse.com/wot-mods/worldoftanks/gnomefathers-engines
  9. I only shoot APCR when I know that I will need it for sure. However, even if I'm being shot at by APCR, I won't back down. So I suppose it's based off of personal preference and experience. ;)
  10. I put a bounty on myself on behalf of the thousands of pubbies that I've killed in cold blood whilst in my T49 and other tanks. They should be very happy to eliminate me after I've made them lose oh so many battles whilst on the other team. Of course, if they find me on my team... they have to be aware that they'll be knocking out the best player. So they need to be very careful... I know how to set up my own bounty... I'm not crazy. Rather, I'm smart - You kill me, you might lose. If you lose the battle by killing me, it's your loss and you don't get the bounty money. If we win, you'll probably be dead by then; or I'll have too much HP for you to TK me. You'll have to get lucky to hunt me down.. even if you were on each and every single one of my teams. ;)
  11. Aslain is correct. The Info Panel is currently in the mod pack under the "DLC" section, so you should be able to download it and enjoy the extra info. ^_^
  12. I would like to express that you two are boring. How could you possibly get tired of that airplane? :o
  13. So if I made this bounty for myself, I would be asking for someone to TK me? And if they succeeded I would have to pay them 3k Gold? And if I kill someone on a bounty list I get the Gold? In that case, I'm setting up a bounty for myself. (Bounty below in the Quote) Have fun finding me. ;) If no one manages to claim this prize before Christmas, then I will make other usage of it; and give it away for a different occasion.
  14. You would definitely need to find a mod programmer in order to incorporate this into an actual modification. However, if you have any kind of Session Stats mod, you should easily be able to figure out the expected values... Also, use common sense. Tanks with more damage potential will have to do significantly more damage than their tank has HP, whilst low potential tanks might not even have to do their own HP in damage for "average" stats.
  15. Incredible. Well, you've proven me wrong... I guess you may as well give it a shot. However, as I already said, the first thing you should try is simply installing the latest version of the mod pack; since Aslain has re-uploaded those mods after their functionality was restored.
  16. The sound files are back. They just needed some time to be updated. Install the latest version of Aslain's mod pack and you'll be able to play with those awesome sound mods again. ^_^
  17. Aslain did re-add Sword of Demonicles two days ago however, so if you install the latest version of the mod pack, you should be able to have it work properly. As for Sixth sense, I would also try a re-installation and make sure no mods are conflicting. Any issues with 6th sense definitely seem to be directly related to the other mods that you use. Try downloading the latest version of Aslain's mod pack, and both of these should be working assuming you don't mix sound mods, 6th sense mods, and crosshair mods of the same type.
  18. If a mod like this were to be created, it should also block out the word "cancer"... too many people abuse it to describe arty and weak spots.
  19. Always make a backup of the files if you're going to edit them. If you're in a hurry to get the BatCave hangar back, go ahead and do what Almace has suggested... otherwise, you will just have to wait until WarGaming's anniversary event is over.
  20. So SafeShot does more than prevent you from shooting destroyed tanks? Interesting...
  21. If you already donated, send a Private Message to Aslain and he will give you the Premium Forum User status. :)
  22. 11 steps? The more steps the better. Hey, scrubs who can't learn to play the game deserve to have their stats look terrible like that. :P
  23. Just trying to help out the WoT community. ^_^ Good luck on the battlefield, tanker!
