  1. Sorry to hear. I hope it's nothing that a Jägertee can't cure. Cheers
  2. I like to use BADoBEST: HP + Nick .. but there is no nickname displayed. this is with modpack v.5.12.1_01 on NA servers I checked the %+nick ... it seems to simply not work. cheers
  3. Yep, just re-installed the whole thing .. slow connection, and it works. I re-installed the mods but didn't try to enable the ones that mess with that shared file. Stuff works mostly .. the usual zeiss-port bug. Time to learn2play Thanks guys
  4. I got a BigWorldClient error. can someone confirm that this is a WG issue? While I have installed the latest and greatest of aslains mods ... I uninstalled it, checked integrity and all that. It crashes so early it doesn't seem possible that it has anything to do with any mods. Attached is the error msg. What's next ... shut the computer down and go ... outside?
  5. awesome .. thank you for that, you're my new best buddy.
  6. Two separate bugs. One the well known harbor graphics but .. i tried two settings in Zeiss and that other one too ... both make the harbor spaz out. Also, I try to select Hawaii port but always end up in New York. That's it .. thanks for your awesome work.
  7. more about Hydroacoustics for those who want to know http://uboat.net/articles/id/52 Also: most engines of that era were steam turbines, or steam turbines to electric ... they make zero noise when the ship stands still. Only the turbines used for electrical power generation .. aka auxiliaries are making noise at that moment. Those can be targeted for noise dampening mounting and such, so the sound profile would have been ridiculously small. Later destroyers were testbeds for Diesel engines. And Torpedo Boats would use gasoline engines, which is a whole different set of crazy. Wood hull for low radar profile + 3 extremely hot running gasoline engines, talk about riding the bomb.
  8. Ok, TIL Hydroacoustic can unmask Destroyers ... i thought it was only extending the detectability range for incoming torpedoes. that makes it actually useful all of a sudden.
  9. The "HP under Nick" would look the best with the DeceasedDaisy set. Minimal, clean, yet clearly visible. Thank you for looking into this.
  10. I love the HP bars of some of the player panels, but I don't really like any of the Ship Contours of the sets that have them. So I wonder if it would be possible to make a HP bar layer that sits underneath the icon set. I personally like the simple clean look of the DeceasedDaisy Set. It would be awesome if I could simply select an HP bar of similar length and run with it. just an idea Cheers Edit: clarification
  11. I just installed that very mod .. works fine here.
  12. as if looking at the smoke plume is not indication enough. Now if it would give me actually a speed reading, now that would be aimboteriffic.
  13. If anyone could make a mod that removes or replaces that piercing sound I am sure it would be appreciated all around. Thanks
  14. How does that even work? If you want something to be signed off, you probably have to present it to WG. (I assume) If it's not signed it doesn't work .. how can you develop anything? If you can develop it without it being signed ... there is nothing holding you from distributing it. Catch 22?
  15. Yes, the Crab crosshairs are awesome ... they would be even better with the color scheme from 'goldspider' ... but you can't have it all ... well, it looks like right now you can't have it at all. I hope custom crosshairs will come back. Thanks for the work Aslain
  16. a picture speaks a thousand words. compare the minimap with what you see and you notice that it seems like a complete different map. This has been taken with modpack version 5.5.0.01 installed
  17. none of them ... as if it was using a different system/folder as you install aslains mods 5.4.2 a folder with that name is being created. as you start the game, after you hit play a folder named 5.4.3 is being created ... exit before pressing the connect button and move all files from 5.4.2 to 5.4.3 and it works Zeiss bug seems to be back
  18. I crashed a few times now during battle. I'm not using smoke boundaries, but pretty much everything else. It looks like the error message window contains about the same info as the .crash file. This happened since a few versions of mod packs. worldofwarships-2016-04-19_11-30-07.crash.txt _Aslain_logs.zip Most battles are fine, but it is a bit unnerving to reload the game while hoping that your boat is still afloat. Cheers
  19. had same thing happening, then disabled smoke screen boundaries, the 3rd last checkbox I think, and it loaded up fine, well, the zeiss harbor bug is still there too .. so I'll disable that next
  20. The newest update features the WoWs Twitch channel auto streaming. I find it annoying to have to listen to some people babbling about who has joined their channel. I realize that this is probably not something that a mod will fix, but any hack or circumventive measure would be appreciated. Thanks
  21. The mini-map by vito74m needs updating .. at least the "Straight" if you look at the screenshot and compare what you see with whats on the mini map. I should not be able to see that DD.
  22. Das Nebel entfernende mod ist nur fuer den horizont nebel, nicht fuer den den du mit dem zerstoerer setzt. --- That's not how it works, the mods don't have any effect on destroyer smoke. This is about the fog that inhibits your range of view.
  23. I confirm. This mod pack is clean. windows 10 is paranoid. (i guess that's a good thing, but it can be annoying)
  24. I used to use the Crab1 and was skeptical at first, but this blows it out of the water, excellent visibility and ability to track ships at an angle. Thanks
  25. yep, I totally love it .. I just wanted to add it also doesn't count up anymore after you died, even if you can watch the guy run into your full spread and go from 100% to watery grave.
