v9.13.** crashes to desktop

Recommended Posts

I put on latest v9.13.09 modpack for now. Added other deffierent reload mod (OTM Reloads by ZJ, text only) and I will keep white dead skins also (tanks and tracks). I'll let you know.

No crashes. I put back OTM Reloads by Rn and will test again this one. If I now again get crashes then it has to be this.

Using latest modpack, v9.13.12.

  • CPU: Intel Core i5, 660 @3,73Ghz (stock is 3,33Ghz, running smoothly for 1,5 years now)
  • Mob: Asus P7P55D some pro or smth version
  • Gfx: nVidia GTX680 2GB @stock clock
  • RAM: 2x4gb DDR3 PC12800, has slight overclock as well I think, if important I'll find a tool to get the exact frequency
  • Op.sys: Win7 64bit + latest updatest

One thing though what I noticed with last crash. 3-4 seconds before the crash game had hickups, a lot, FPS stayed normal. Running usually around 40-60fps.

Been having same issue since 9/13/12 update. Game has kicked me all the way out to desktop where it needs reloading it get back in numerous times. Did not change anything when I ran latest update, so I suspect xvm build. I can't find where to attach files on new comment screen so I couldn't include logs! LOL![ OK maybe I sorted it out- attachment=5744:python.log]_Aslain_logs.ziploginstall.inf

To test it. You can try to install latest modpack, then manualy downgrade XVM to 6.2.0 (http://www.modxvm.com/en/download-xvm/)

I can't even get into the game with mod installed, finished the initial loading and bam, out to desktop.

btw is it normal that I have both 0.9.9 and 0.9.13 folders ?

edit: tried disabling the mods one by one, still can't figure out what caused

edit2: found it, it's the "check for modpack update in garage"

again, with the most unexpected mod causing problem for me, few months ago it was "shadow intensity behind OTM"

took few hours to find it ...

Hi mates,

Since i've installed the 9.13 i have been having issues that i have never had with Aslain's mod pack.

The issue is that game crashes and i can still hearing the sound of the game but image get freezed and when i push the windows key to get back to desktop and close the game i can't and i have to launch the task manager with ctrk+alt+del... the problem is that as the screen is freezed and i can do anything so i have to rebooth my pc and launch the game again.

This issue happens loading the battle and even when i'm playing the battle too... I know it is something about camera or something like that but I feel lost... I'm not able to play even 3 games in a row and i thinks is because PMOD (i have always played with kroshna and never have any problem).

My laptop is a MSIGS60 ghost with 16GB RAM, a GTX960M, I7 core and 256GB SSD + 1TB sata HDD..

Read this topic man, reduce ammount of mods, start with OTM reload by RN.

Also I see some overlay on your screen, this may cause issues too.

why did u say like that??

in previous aslain mod pack (before xx.10), all mods in your mod pack its working normal, but after xx.10-12, your mod pack its become unstable.... :(

* iam using overlay since very far far away old version of WOT with mod pack, and there is no problem at all....

It's the same error that happens to me and I don't use OTM reload...  I agree with the man above about 10-12 your mod become unstable... The same issues in different PC's...

No more support till a properly answer...

Hi mates,

Since i've installed the 9.13 i have been having issues that i have never had with Aslain's mod pack.

The issue is that game crashes and i can still hearing the sound of the game but image get freezed and when i push the windows key to get back to desktop and close the game i can't and i have to launch the task manager with ctrk+alt+del... the problem is that as the screen is freezed and i can do anything so i have to rebooth my pc and launch the game again....

I have that sound problem without mods as well. I close wot, process is shut down but the sounds play for 30-60 seconds after that.

I wouldn't put all problems on Aslain's mod pack. Try to play 50 games without mods, see how your PC performs.

Also, try to uninstall wot and clean your PC and then re-install wot and play 50 games without mods- how's then?

I clean (delete temp files, scan for spyware, malware, viruses) regularly and I have done the above 50+50 game trial. I can say that some problems and crashes happen even without mods. Also from time to time my PC crashes in DiRT rally, Fallout 4 etc. Random and rare, but it happens. Might be related to the fact that I use SSD and no page file (ok, on SSD it's 200mb large, enought to work well).

Look at your PC logs as well (Under administrative tools): https://www.google.ee/search?q=windows+crash+logs&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US:%7Breferrer:source%7D&ie=UTF-8&oe=&gfe_rd=cr&ei=9FeCVprcO-Gl8weK6624Dw&gws_rd=ssl

I can say for a fact that after I updated to 9.13.12 and removed RN reload mod, I haven't had a single crash in wot. But that's with my combination of mods.

What Aslain is doing, he is providing a mod pack and what we can do is we can test a different combinations of mods to work together. There's a great chance that some of your chosen mods are in conflict and you should do what I did- start adding mods 1 by 1 and then see after which your game and PC crashes.

NB! PC does not usually crash because of games. It's 9 out of 10 times a Windows's (drivers, IO conflicts, etc) or hardware related problem. You should look into that separate from WOT and maybe you can use WOT logs in relation to Windows's logs to debug the real reason.

solved in a mysterious way. Reinstalled modpack, piece by piece, waiting for that one mod that caused the crash. None found; all reinstalled and WoT running fine. Let's just shout a big hallelujah ok? ;)

Just loaded 9,13,17 and first game out the gate the game crashes all the way out- had to completely restart. When I tried to get back in it would not load past the battle screen but the various players OTMs were showing thru and moving as they played but they were not otherwise visable as the battleloading screen covered everything else. Closed game and went back to desktop to load earlier modpack and kept getting message that WOT was still running. Finally rebooted to drive a stake thru its undead heart :) reloaded 9.13.16

Cannot reproduce, no issues on my pc.

I still think you guys should try full clean install.

  1. Remove Aslain pack and all other mods if any and play without them for a day. 50 games no crashes? Move on
  2. Then start adding mods 1by1
  3. Finally you figure out witch mod is in conflict in your system

For me it took 2-3 weeks before I found the mod that conflicts on my systemYeap, it takes time, but it's a normal and widely used process in software development process (reversed in many cases though) - first try what worked without a hitch and then start adding new features to find out witch add-on is the problem.

Earlier I posted a reminder what you should try:
