Missing module repair timer

Recommended Posts

I absolutely love this modpack and the installer but I'm having a slight issue that I cannot work out.

For some reason none of the module repair timers are showing.  It's particularly annoying as I'm trying to make a decision about not using a toolbox on my favourite heavy, and sticking some vents on it instead.

Any help much appreciated.

For the record the only mod pack I'm using is the very latest Aslain one (But the issue was there with previous iterations, I've used about the last three I think) and no other mods.

Thank you very much indeed in advance for any replies!

Keep up the good work.

Hey, uploading your logs might help looking into the issue, either via the "More Reply Options" below the reply window (you'll see in the next window) or as described in the Bug Reporting section of the readme thread http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/3-the-read-me/ .

I can only guess right now, so I'll just give you my 2 cents for now.

It might be a certain Damage Panel, so try out using a different one and see if the issue still persists (can do with a replay, I suppose).

As far as equipement goes, I think that toolbox has very limited uses, since you can only use 3 items and the gold-stuff is usually pretty useful (depending on what and how you play, of course).

I'm not that experienced with every tank in the game and with heavies not too much either but I usually only use a toolbox if I'm currently short on credits and can't affort one of the better items.

I would consider repair crew + vents more useful. If you have the extra gold repair kits (from missions or from sales) you could use those instead and only use it up when you're stuck in a very bad spot or use both small and large repair kit even, if you so desire.

Thanks very much for your quick reply!

I will try to upload my logs shortly.

I tried to install a different damage panel, but I'm unsure of the place I should be looking when installing, there isn't a "damage panel" heading that I could see.

I'm also not getting a damage report, like, how much damage I just took. Which I don't like.  Guess I'd better sort those logs.

To give a little more situation about my position:  First crew skill was repair across the board apart from Sixth Sense on commander and (stupidly) situational awareness on the radio man.  I'm on 78% on my second skill with repair on both commander and radio man.  So my average repair is pretty good.  Still, toolbox adding a further 25% means that you get back on track so damn fast that it's hard to think I'll benefit hugely from the 5% across the board for vents in comparison. It's one of those toss ups though I suppose.  I was just hoping that the actual repair time info would help me make an informed decision.

Hey,

if you had issues finding the Damage Panel section, then maybe you didn't even install one in the first place?

They can be found in around the middle of the mod-list, so you will have to scroll down a bit to find them.

Regarding the toolbox:

It depends on how you like to play and what you want to improve about it, I suppose.

Personally, I've barely found any situation, where a slight increase in repairs would be very helpful.

If you get perma-tracked, it usually doesn't help you when your enemy has a low enough reload.

And most of the games, that I've played, I normally get away with just using a small repair kit, when I got myself into an awkward situation.

For me it just makes little sense to have that tool with you, that only helps you out a lot in very few situations; all the while things like vents improve all of your tank's stats in every situation and in every game you play (acceleration, aiming, viewrange, etc.).

But that's just my opinion. =)

*edit*Thanks, I got a timer working but it's only in seconds rather than tenths of a second - ahh well, looks like none of the available damage panels in Aslain do that. I'll have to make do with full seconds - not a problem though really.  *edit*

Thank you very much indeed for your reply!  It seems to me like you have found the issue.

Thanks also for your tips relating to the toolbox, I think I will stick the vents on it and use the toolbox as a floating bit of kit for my over, less important heavies.
