Crash on Start-Up

Recommended Posts

I got a BigWorldClient error.

can someone confirm that this is a WG issue?

While I have installed the latest and greatest of aslains mods ... I uninstalled it, checked integrity and all that.

It crashes so early it doesn't seem possible that it has anything to do with any mods.

Attached is the error msg.

What's next ... shut the computer down and go ... outside?

I'm having the same exact issue and this is immediately after I tried to install this mod pack. It's the mod pack, not WG.

EDIT:

I'd like to add that even after uninstalling and checking the game files the game will freeze at the loading screen and give me that pop-up message.

Yeah but it's a fair question to ask if it was a WG bug or a mod bug.

Anyway, just wanted to update anyone having problems still. I had to do a complete reinstall but the game launches fine now. If you can't get the game to launch then I'm afraid that may be the only course of action. Although I would suggest following Aslain's F.A.Q. first as it may work for others.

I loaded the new MOD pack and the game opened with the home screen ship image upside down.  I've seen this before.  Give Aslain another day or so to work out the bugs.  It must be a real pain in the rear trying to keep up with all the changes WG comes up with.

I got the same problem and imho its a problem of WG.

I contacted the support and was recommended to reinstall WoWS (without activated anti-virus and friewall).

I did and afterwards I had the same problems...

now, after several advices, WG told me, not be able to help and to wait for todays update... so lets wait for afternoon and retry...

besides, WG support seems not to be very capable, e.g. they told me mods are the problem, altough I told them, I already reinstalled the whole game without mods....

then the driver of my graphic-card should have been the problem, altough I told them before, that after I got this problems, I changed grpahics from AMD to Nvidia....
