Base XP counter

If you want this in Warships players focus too much on their own shit and not helping the team.
XP earned, Credits earned, FreeXP earned etc shouldnt be an incentive to boost your own shit.
Sorry, but if this becomes a thing in Warships, players will be only playing the battles just for them self and maxing out stuff for their own benefits!

Hello? You know a damage counter exists? It is pretty much the most useless counter for objective gameplay. Capping? Doesn't increase damage counter. Spotting? Doesn't increase damage counter. Shooting down planes? Doesn't increase damage counter. Tanking damage? Doesn't increase damage counter.

So you think it is good to see a counter that people can try maximize to maximize (and do; just look at sniping BBs), which has limited use for the team? And at the same time you think it is bad to show players what actually helps in winning, because they could try to boost XP? I don't get it.

Wargaming has not, and will not, make the exact base XP calculation formula public. Remarkably, it wasn't leaked either. They want players to play the game, not to game the game. Some users posted their SWAG formulas, a few of them are pretty decent approximations. WG wants to reward what they consider better play (and it's different from what some players consider better play) with more XP and the user posted articles and formulas revealed the major elements of their approach, e.g. the relatively small bonus for a kill, or the value of damage caused is measured by its proportion to the enemy ships total health pool, etc.
