  1. Hmm client country flags are working now. But I still get rectangles that I'll need to fix in player panels. Edit: Also hitlog is now working as well.
  2. Btw Aslain after reinstalling modpack again I got rectangles in player panel meaning that it seems your modpack is installing offending fonts. I will now try #7
  3. I was already doing what you suggested before this flag issue happened. So I don't think that is solution to this issue. To confirm I reinstalled modpack. Here is what you suggested (which I was already doing) and tell me if you do something differently: As you can see "Remove country flags" is unchecked. Show client flags are checked + ignore flags selected by users on the XVM website is checked. And still EU flags instead of country flags.
  4. Are you aware there are two different flag databases? One is based on language people set in client of the game and the other is based on xvm website. Are you aware of these two different flags they are not the same and client flags are much more accurate. I don't think you see client flags i think you see xvm flags. If you aren't aware of this distinction then you have no clue what i'm talking about. Edit: I just want to clear up do we understand each other about 2 different country flag databases before we can discuss whether that is solution or not.
  5. That's not the solution, more like a work around for those that don't mind seeing country flags people setup in xvm. The way it had option before is you could see *client* language flags (xvm flags we would disable) which is much more interesting. But it seems either WG stopped it due to some phantom privacy concerns or xvm is bugged.
  6. What I didn't know back then trying different mods is that any font in the mod folder gets automatically installed in the system. That is such idiocy i dunno what to say but hey it is what it is.
  7. Finally fixed rectangles being empty. It indeed was a font. I searched for more fonts and found a bunch that looked like were used by some mods that i uninstalled. And voila now works.
  8. In any case it is good advice to be cautious once it became known there was malware distributed with it at some point in time. Trust is hard to build but easy to destroy.
  9. I followed your procedure. Deleted cache, i use windows mode, played full battles, waited for battle results window, again clicked on details button to get it again, but nothing triggered in fiddler. MD5 hash of polarfox.vxSettingsApi_1.7.9.wotmod is 84A0D4DFE2858430AF2A9CA441E26AD9 downloaded from https://wgmods.net/400/ There was one crash to desktop. That might be related and needs to be more investigated. There was one call to wotzone.ru that might be caused by this mod at login time. Otherwise nothing else seems to be triggered. Played 5-6 full battles so far.
  10. Those that already have extensive experience with XVM could perhaps give few pointers what parts give greatest performance penalty hit and could be either reduced or disabled. So far I'm thinking of something that does a lot of checking of events in real time, such as floating damage text. So perhaps reducing maxrange from 100 to 40 might improve performance. Any other advice? Btw what is this maxrange in dead and alive markers files regarding floating damage. Is that in meters? is that percentage of max rendering range? Something else?
  11. It used to show EU flag only after relogging directly into battle due to crash or alt+f4 but now it seems to have stopped showing proper *client* flags altogether. Modpack 1.0.2.1 #6 Also ZeesuS large panel shows empty rectangles for player ratings instead of filled like in medium or small panel. As suggested by Aslain I deleted xvm font from windows but it didn't help. Modpack all versions since 1.0.2.0 including 1.0.2.1 #6 Note that small and medium player panels show filled rectangle (altho it might be smaller one)
  12. After 5-6 battles these are the results of monitoring in fiddler. Do you see anything fishy?
  13. I'm aware of that thread as you can see I posted a screen in that thread and what I'm saying is this doesn't happen anymore with polarfox.vxSettingsApi_1.7.9.wotmod from wgmods.net with hash MD5 84A0D4DFE2858430AF2A9CA441E26AD9. I have installed fiddler and am currently monitoring to see if anything pops up like it did for you. So far nothing showed up. It is possible that unless you used exact same hash .wotmod your version had malware in it while this one doesn't. It's also possible it still does. I'm monitoring will play 10-20 battles and will report results.
  14. Did you test this with version from wgmods.net? It's possible that different sources have or not have malware in it since i've already seen different hashes on libraries from different sources. Yes I know this isn't fool proof way to determine whether file has malware in it or not. Also what program you used to check this traffic so I can check myself with this file? Edit: found it, nirsoft networktrafficview
  15. Do you mind giving me more details about what kind of malware, what does it do? Also would WG allow such mod on their webpage wgmods.net?
  16. It's been some time that these don't work including latest 1.0.2.1 #6 EDIT: included the logs. I must add I manually added polarfox.vxSettingsApi_1.7.9.wotmod to get hangar settings for Battle Observer because it doesn't trigger antivirus for any ads (the version from BO 1.16.1 from wgmods.net) and I can't stand not having options for mods to tinker with (GUI options are hundred times more convenient than editing txt files). Aslains_WoT_Logs.zip
  17. I had the same crash to desktop at login. Now I updated xvm with nightly version and at least I can login. Haven't tried battle yet. You can get nightly here https://nightly.modxvm.com/
  18. Every time I install this modpack afterwards I get application error in Event Log of Windows 10. Faulting module path: isslideshow.dll. This has been happening in every version I tried to install.
  19. I prefer to have minimal symbols for tank contours like in Hawg's mod. Also if there is alternative similar contour mod that allows changing colors of icons would be great. It's minimal and nice.
  20. Considering possible ads coming from Battle Observer I might have to retire that mod and look for alternative. 2 Thinks I'm looking for... zoom out customization (Pmod does it but only for arcade camera I would need it for strategic as well) and Damage done by players when pressing a key like "Alt". Other features of Battle Observer are pretty much covered. Thanks
  21. It was 1.0.2.0 #2 yesterday. So you were probably right it might have been Battle Observer that I use.
  22. I can confirm there are attempts to download ads by some mod. Usually happened for me after the battle but would be blocked by Eset Internet Security.
