  1. Also the Economic Bonuses cannot be mounted. They can be removed, but no new ones can be applied.

    Nor the Economics Bonuses Screen can be reached anymore.

    This same problems can be found also in "Carousel Extended" mod.

    My best guess is they both mods relayed on the same (outdated) code.

     

    Update: The bonuses do get mounted, but it doesn't show unless one restart the game

    Try without Carousel Fast Scroll. Let me know if this helped. You posted no logs, so I must guess.... Would be cool if you can attach a replay where you got this issue, also try if you have this issue too when you watching your replays.

     

    I can attach my logs from Pack#8 (which is the same selection in Pack#10).

    As for the replays I can satisfy your request right away by attaching a few from this morning.

    Trying out will take me a bit of time to setup, thou I don't understand how a Port Mod (Carousel Fast Scroll) can affect the battles smoothness.

  3. Unfortunately I've to report that updating from pack#8 to pack#10 I've noticed an heavy downgrade in performance by my (old) PC.

    There is especially a long freeze at the beginning of any match.

    I had to reverse back to #8.

    Thanks to Capt_Oveur for the nice try,  but I believe Minimap by Autospy might die sooner than Aslain has forseen in another chat.

  4. I already understood the need to re-select the mods. I did write it in my previous inquire.

    Actually being warned before the update took place that this was going to happen, would have allow us to take screenshots of the previous mod-pack installed as reference, sparing lot of time and writing.

     

    All I'm asking is if the "FPS & Ping" highlighting mod is still in the current mod-pack, and if so, what is its ref. number in the list of mods just for easier retrieval.

     

    As for Cpt_Ouver, now the WOWS Forum is no more, I have no clue how to reach him.

  5. Hi Aslain,

     

    Given the need to re-select everything out of memory I might have screwed something.

    Yet C. E. is installed and it works just fine, but it's trademark replacement of the ships' silhouttes with the pictures even in "Rows" mode with 2, 3 or 4 rows is not working.

    Also I didn't install the mod to enhance the FPS and Ping time in the upper left corner when in battle. Did I miss it or it has been removed?

  6. My bad!! It seems I've made some typo previoulsy and now it works!!!

     

    Same system as the ones you provide: a folder named after the V.O. wishing to remove and the mod.xml inside edited by replacing the name with the one of its own NEW folder.

    Is it possible to revamp the "Removal section" about fancy voiceovers that have been added lately?

    BTW, I mean those that don't go away even by de-selecting everything via the sprocket in Port (yep. I despite fancy camos too).

     

    I've tried that by myself, taking as blueprint those of ComRichard and Overchkin, creating copies of the folders and modifying also the mod.xml inside accordingly as you can see in picture, but it doesn't work. I guess I'm missing something.

  8. Hi there,

    I do something similar to what you are asking with "Damage Meter" mod, by changing the (sometimes unreadable) white color to a nice yellow/gold color.

    All you have to do is getting free editor app "Notepad ++" and go edit the file Aslain was mentioning. Don't worry about the Flash file; it needs no changes.

     

    Once you are ready (ofc make a backup copy first!) the first step is to chose a new color and copy its Hexadecimal code.

    There are plenty of sites than can help in that. Here the one in the pict: https://www.htmlcsscolor.com

     

    In Notepad++ as you can see, there in option to split the windows: in my case on the left it's a file I made and saved on the desktop, while on the right there is the one to be edit inside the Res_mods folder. A nice thing about Notepad++ is that it remember any open session, so all you have to do, after installing one of Asalin's modpack is to run it, copy/paste from left to right and SAVE before quitting.

    As you can see, for extra comfort I copy/paste a whole chunk of code because in Damage Meter I have 2 colors to change, but as matter of fact, the only thing you need to change is the HEX code (the part in green) in your file.

    Beware these are different mods, so different coding, but the fact remain that you need to use Notepad++ search comand for an entry that says "Text color" or also look for an HEX code. i.e. if the original color is white, you need to look for a "#FFFFFF" value.

    Be also aware you may find more than one Hex codes, one for the main text and the other for the outline.

  9. Hello Aslain,

     

    this one is (I guess) for OliN.

     

    I cannot avoid wondering that now the only thing missing in the port's menu bar is "Commander Skill" points, something I belive it's even more important than Research Points (definitely) or Community Tokens (maybe).

    There is just a space left in between Battle Type and Coal that could do the trick.

     

    I love to have all these infos, but as extra suggestion since it's getting crowed, I suggest as a further evolution, a preferences panel with all the check-boxes to give players the freedom to decide what to see, and perhaps also a slider to adjust the font's spacing for those players that have hue amounts of resources.

    nope! no changes also with "event_popup.unbound".

    I just wonder which mod is the culprit. Anyway, don't struggle too much. I can live with it since it is not a perma-thing but rather an event in this update only.

     

    PS: ofc I know the right folder. Got a shortcut on desktop to current res_mods folder and every WG update I archive the old one (i.e. there is no "res_mods" right now in old 6965290 folder).

    I tried. I installed in "res_mods/gui/sfm/", same folder where there is a lobby.txt file. No changes

    The banner still shows up and only after hitting first SHIFT then it can be permanently dismissed by pressing H.

    Can I know which is the mod that causes the issue. I might consider removing it for the time being until the end of the "Convoy" event.

  12. I play full windowed and I do have this issue too since at least the previous Update (a few months).

     

    But I can provide an hint as it has to do with the mini-map (I'm using Autospy's) or other mods that interact with it, like those new ones for showing/pointing subs locations.

     

    Basically when that happens, you need to  CTRL+CLICK (probably again) on the mini-map a few times and it should fix it.

     

    Basically it's like if the game "think" we still have CTRL press down and as consequence the mouse button doesn't work to shoot. By CTRL+CLICKING, you should be able to get the game out of this loophole.

  13. Hello Aslain,

     

    this is a bitter one to swallow as I was convinced it was WG's fault and the usual waste of time with its Costumer (bot!) Service, but it seems it is not the case.

    Here is the issue:

     

    In "Convoy", once I die, a banner on the left appears (see picture). This happens to be a "very old" reminiscence of previous incarnations of this game mode since it refers to some specific currency/points (the odd B) that's no longer used.
    The problem is that this banner has the irritating tendency to come back once I press H to dismiss it.
    I actually found a workaround which is to first press Shift to go in camera mode and then H to hide the banner. If that was it, I'd probably lived with it and never bother CS or you.

    Yet there is a situation (the reason I'm writing you) where that cannot be done (again, see the picture)... when I play CV!! I lost my ship but had sill in the air a squadron. And this is how I was forced to play until I was truly done.

    CS asked me to run the game in SAFE MODE. I did, thinking it was a waste of my time, due to sloppy programming and inept CS, but I was dead wrong. No side banner at all when playing (and dying) without mods installed.

    I've no clue which mod might be the culprit. See my logs.

  14. Hi Aslain,

    please let the author knows that I DO like the much more compact version whereas precious pixels are saved in between "kills","icons" and "tiers".

     

    What I DON'T like are the "blacklisted" mark, now a tiny flag, even harder to see in the enemy panel when using type 2 (red) color.

    The name in black color was much more neat and clear. Very immediate at glimpse.

     

    Even less I like the fact that now it's no longer possible to CTRL click a player's name to access the submenu (compliments/reports/invites....)

    as you can see from the attachment, since the last WG's update the BADoBEST side panel v1 (I don't know if v2 is also affected) now is located too high, covering Potential Damage, etc...

    None of the available settings help fixing it: there is no slider for that.

     

    PS: this is a minor thing but since we are talking about the same mod.... it's been a while that it doesn't show anymore Divisions letters (A,B,C...)

  16. Hi Aslain,

     

    sorry for not reporting this earlier, but I thought someone else already did.

    Such is no the case.

    So I wonder if the problem is only mine.

     

    Ever since last WOWS upgrade (0.11.8) and your various updates, "Detailed Damage Meter" works now and then.

    The two top menu, (Damaged Caused...) & (Damage Received), always show up, but more often than not there is no data.

  17. Greeting Aslain,

     

        your idea for Air Burst is simply brilliant as sometimes I do lose track of the ship I'm about to attack with all those flakes.

    Completely removing the effect is not a viable option for me as it makes impossible to dodge them, I guess.

    So I use the "Transparent" option, but I do find it too hard to see still.

    Could you please add more transparency percentage (%) options to choose from in the future?
