  1. This has happened to me before, and I'm not exactly sure what causes it. However, I would have to disagree with your specualtion because in my experience, this has occurred even whilst I am alive, even if no one is shooting at me. Usually I just click a second time and it works. Doesn't happen very often, although it can be rather annoying.
  2. No worries... accidents happen. No need to delete the posts. ^_^
  3. Yes it does. By clicking on adfly, you're using it as a direct access route to Aslain's mod pack. When you go to ad.fly, you already see the advertisement in the background. Ad.fly makes money by having ad companies upload their ads there, and when Aslain uses ad.fly, after a certain number of users have visited, Aslain gets part of the profits. Win-win scenario. :D
  4. That's usually what I'm doing if I have WoT on. Otherwise I'm outside, playing sports, or reading. :P
  5. Make sure you play plenty after 9.3. :P Seems like a great update. On topic though, which mod displays them in the panel? If you could add it, that would be great.
  6. If my View Port can see his View Port, then we'd both be spotted. However, my View Port is on the very left side of my tank. If I'm driving by, he might be able to see the right side of my turret, but I wouldn't see him. I would be spotted, but he wouldn't. This is because my View Port is shifted too far to the left. It can't see down into the ditch that I'm driving by. However, his View Port has a clear line of sight towards the right side of my turret. If I were further to the right where my View Port could see his, I could spot him.
  7. Probably not. Exactly what is the situation though? Depending on the exact circumstances, you may or may not be able to get something done about it.
  8. Thank you. Adfly gave you access back again?
  9. Aslain, do you think you could use a different host website? The one that you're using right now (not MEGA, but Shor Test), keeps spamming pop-ups that my anti-virus is going crazy about. It keeps trying to download other programs onto my computer, and my AV keeps blocking every part of the website and saying "We have prevented this site from trying to download content onto your computer". I really don't trust the current website. I'm going to stop updating the mod pack for now and just stick with my current version. Not going to risk getting a virus on my computer (even though I have a great AV).
  10. I guess it depends on your settings. Although keep in mind that the fog has to be rendered. If you're nearing the edges of the maps, especially when you're submerged in the fog, the game becomes a lot more graphically intensive (at least for computers on lower Graphics settings, since the rest of the terrain isn't nearly as complex on low graphics).
  11. It's not illegal. It's rude for sure, but not illegal.
  12. Might have to add, that this is a totally fictional example and your own opinion though. It doesn't actually work like that IRL, most of the time. Fictionalized numbers, but not an entirely fictional example. I have a 62% WR in my Jumbo, whilst a friend of mine with near identical stats on the Jumbo has a 51%. There's a reason for that... I Platooned with him and knew exactly why...
  13. I win by... playing well. However, good stats doesn't mean you'll have a good win rate... it depends on exactly what you do in battle... You may have 2 players with identical stats, even though one player has 5-10% higher Win Rate than the other... How would this be possible? Say there are two players in a Sherman Jumbo. They both deal an average of 1,500 damage per battle, average 3 kills a battle, 35 defense points per battle, and they both use the same kind of ammo, equipment and crew. Jumbo player #1 always goes off on his own, deals a lot of damage early on, but doesn't support his allies, nor does he stay alive very long. If he does stay alive, he doesn't do much damage until it's too late in the battle to do anything (after the team is already dead). He averages a 52% Win Rate just by virtue of dealing a lot of damage per battle. Jumbo player #2 weighs in the situation carefully before picking his flank. If one flank is doomed to die, he avoids it. However, if it needs extra defense but is very achievable, he'll take it. He uses all of the proper battles strategies and conserves his HP whenever possible. If he sees an ally about to die, he'll move his tank in front of the ally to shield him. He prioritizes targets and focuses upon the greatest threats or largest pay-off enemies (enemies that if killed will bring you closest to victory). If the flank he is at is about to fall, he retreats before the enemy begins surrounding him. He's almost always the last to stay alive and he predicts what the enemy will do. He always tries to support allies and will always slow down an enemy advance in order to make sure that his allies have the greatest chance of victory. This player averages a 65% Win Rate. 13% Win Rate difference. One players goes off on his own and doesn't support allies, whilst the other pays close attention to where he goes and what he does. The second player also assists allies whenever possible and makes sure that they stay alive. Jumbo player #1 rages at his team if they're losing and he's dead. Jumbo player #2 gives his team tips and hints, provides them with valuable information, and always encourages them; even if they're losing. Both players deal the same amount of damage and earn the same number of kills per battle. The first player does all of that when it doesn't matter though. The second player makes the right decisions at the right time; and makes the crucial decisions that win battles.
  14. I would not think that's illegal... it's not very nice, but illegal? I don't think so.
  15. Keep in mind that damage is not the only thing that WN8 incorporates into its calculations. Spotting, kills, win, etc. all factor in to a degree. 600 should be orange for a Cromwell and 925 should barely be light green. Crommy's should be doing a lot of damage. I would say over 1,000 for green, 1,250 for blue, and 1,500 for purple. (And even that isn't much...)
  16. Hacks. It's all hacks. A YouTube link would have been much more preferable. Anyways... I've watched the video. Definitely a strange glitch. Is this the only time that it happened, or does it happen every battle? If it's a persisting problem, I may be able to replicate it... otherwise it may have just been a one-time thing. Random bugs sometimes happen once and never show up again.
  17. Is it a bad thing if I don't have this file in my Game Client...?
  18. You're far over-extending the situation. You're saying that 3.8.9 is flawed. However, if it's working for the rest of us, that immediately provides you with the information that it's a localized issue on your computer; not a universal issue with 3.8.9. You could have responded with "I guess that mean there's something up with my computer" rather than "well aren't you just a special cookie". Also, you responded to 98whiteMC's taunting. Never do that. You're feeding the conflict; which brings some of the fault to you as well. As for you, you could have apologized rather than flaming/bashing/taunting Capin. You were obviously trying to pick a fight, which is not something to do. A simply apology or explanation that you were just trying to imply that 3.8.9 is not flawed for everyone would have sufficed much better. Also, you were acting like a 10 year old when you said "LMFAO little 10 year old". You're accusing someone of being 10 when you're the one acting like it? Grow up, please. Both of you are at fault here. Also 98whiteMC, telling Capin to take it to the chat box is a bad idea. That is not the purpose of the chat box. Settle it via. PM or in-game, but not on a public Forum post and not in the Shoutbox. /argument
  19. You should be posting this in a separate Forum post. Regardless, if I'm correct, only WarGaming could implement this. Besides... anyone who is a serious player and is a good candidate for a Clan uses the website for many purposes.
  20. Upload them to MediaFire or Google Drive and give us the link. ^_^
  21. Usually you can eyeball this, although having JiMbO's crosshair may also help you approximate when you're 80% aimed. The smaller circle denotes where 75% of shots will go, thus you can usually shoot without aiming entirely if you know what you're doing and you use the mod correctly.
  22. "Penetration values at higher distances are not displayed"... unless you have MeltyMaps' Math mod. :D
  23. 3. Change the mini-map settings to show vehicle names. Or, you could manually install JiMbO's mini-map configuration into your Game Client to over-ride the version that Aslain's mod pack installed.
  24. If you're still experiencing problems, just upload the logs and we'll be able to assist you. However, make sure that you're using the correct version of the installer, have no conflicting sound or hitlog mods, and are cleaning out your WoT and Aslain's Installer Cache whilst installing the mods.
