  1. Some camera glitch has forced your viewpoint down inside of the ship you have selected - you're looking at the superstructure & deck from below. The usual culprit in this case is any zoom out type mod you might have installed. Try re-installing the modpack without Camera "Zeiss" (advanced camera + advanced zoom) (by Mebius_LW) and Zeiss Expert I x20 selected.

  3. Offline tool to allow you to see/calculate various ships stats with different ship modules/captain skills/etc. NOTE: I DID NOT CREATE THIS ! It was written by someone on another forum I frequent.   4. Well since the mod is not back in the modpack yet, are you downloading it from the topic in the Requests forum ? If so, that one uses res_mods/0.5.2.1/. If you are just dropping the extracted res_mods folder into the WoWS directory, it won't work. Screenshot of how it should be installed in res_mods:
  5. For Aslain & anyone using my No Shell Contrail mod - I just checked whether or not it still works in 0.5.5.0, and I am happy to report it works fine with no changes needed. Tested against NA 0.5.5.0 as of about 1730 p.m. EST (USA) ATTN: Aslain - can you please update the installer description to read "Removes shell contrails from all main and secondary guns by rendering then invisible".   6. 1. White circle - range at which you can be detected by an enemy ship. 2. Yellow circle - range at which you can be detected by an enemy airplane group. 3. Lines disappearing - bug, glitch, who knows ?

  10. It's not you. Training Room Enabler is one of those mods that breaks with every patch, and needs updating. It got removed with modpack v5.2.0.00 (23-12-2015).
  11. This happens pretty much every single time WoWs gets patched - some mods work fine, others break completely. The broken ones get yanked until such time as they are updated to work again, then added back in. Folks just have to be patient.

Ok this took longer to figure out than it should - I kept fiddling with .DDS files in Photoshop before remembering alpha channels are a thing to consider (I'm not a PS pro by a long shot) Anyway - is anyone still interested in this ? The contrail is completely gone and this is probably compatible with most current tracer mods - it's a single file replacement. Screenshots are of No Contrails + Colored Tracers #1 (by atmaxx) On a side note I also think I figured out how to colorize the tracer smoke, I'll work on that too.

Since I started this thread, here we go: Find "World_of_Warships\res_mods\0.5.1.2\content\gameplay\usa\gun\main\textures\AGM031_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a.dds" and duplicate it in the same folder, you will probably get "AGM031_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a - Copy.dds". Rename "AGM031_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a - Copy.dds" to "AGM157_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a.dds" The folder "World_of_Warships\res_mods\0.5.1.2\content\gameplay\usa\gun\main\textures\" should then be as shown below: I will msg Xandier59 about this.   14. Ok, I figured out what's going on, this is wierd. Same clean install as before: If Omaha Hull = "A" hull OR "B" hull, turret texture appears If Omaha Hull = "C" hull, turret texture disappears I FRAPS'd this, just so I know I'm not losing my mind - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QziadLFalM
  15. I tried deleting the DLC folder contents then clean installing just this mod (see attached logs) and got my previous result again (missing texture). The file "AGM157_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a.dds" isn't present in the DLC file "wows_skins_RWBY_collection_with_bonus_502.7z". _Aslain_logs.zip
  16. I found a minor error in the RWBY Skin Collection by Xandier59. The twin barreled fore/aft turrets for the Omaha skin are missing the modified texture. This error is not present on the Marblehead though. So I poked around and figured out the missing file that should be in \content\gameplay\usa\gun\main\textures is "AGM157_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a.dds". Easy DIY fix is to copy & paste "AGM031_6in53_Mk16_Twin_a.dds" and then change AGM031 to AGM157, as the same turret is used on both ships.
  17. Just FYI the contents of the file "rkiData.xml" you have in some of your downloads is outdated, in that it only has distance info for US, IJN, and RU Destroyers. I gave Aslain a link to some newer info on the NA forums some time ago, so he updated it sometime around modpack v.5.0.3.10. I had a copy of that installer still so I managed to fix this myself. Just be aware that the rkiData.xml in v.5.0.3.10 does not take into account the newly released maps in 0.5.1.0. I'll just attach my fixed one to make this easy for you. rkiData_for_0510.xml
  18. As far as I know, Verdana comes with Windows. So font="Verdana" should work. On your computer just go to Control Panel -> Fonts and make sure it's there first.
  19. Just for giggles I tried font="Wingdings" and font="Tw Cen MT Condensed". Both worked. I tried Wingdings first because it's included with Windows, and TW Cen MT Condensed I just picked randomly from what I have installed on my computer. So it looks like if you have some particular font you want to use installed on your system, you can just plug it into the font="whatever" line. If it matters I got the font names via the Windows Character Map.

A player on the NA forums went and added info for all currently released ships to rkiData.xml, you can find it here: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/53053-is-there-a-mod-to-show-surface-detection-range-on-the-minimap/page__pid__1308820#entry1308820 I think this would be a useful addition to the modpack.
  22. A recent patch added a 2nd torpedo module to the Sims. Stock is the Mk 15 mod 0 ones, which have a range of 5.5km. The 2nd one, Bliss Leavit Mk 8 mod 2b, has a range of 9.2km. I'd bet that any ship that has multiple torpedo launcher options has the longer/longest range displayed on the icons. Prime example in your 2nd picture, the Benson. Stock torpedoes are 6.4km range, 2nd module is 8.2km range.
  23. Modpack version v1.0.1 has "Minimap with ship name and last known position (by Kvalme)" and v1.0.2 has "Minimap with ship names and last position + Damage Log (rework by atmaxx)". One thing I noticed about the 1.0.1 version is that it added (for destroyers) circles that indicated Airplane and Surface detection ranges. This disappeared in 1.0.2. I did some comparing and the database file the mod uses for this (rkiData.xml) is not present in 1.0.2. I noticed on the EU mods forum that this is effectively the exact same mod in both modpack versions. Can we get this possible missing file checked out ?
  24. 2 things I would love to have in WoWs: 1. This mod, which was out in CBT, put the ship outline/gun directions in the middle of the screen to the lower left of the gun crosshairs. Useful for knowing what is pointed where and whether or not I'm turning. 2. Something to permanently display the rudder position, and enlarge the text considerably. I am one of the types who uses hard left/right a lot, and sometimes I forget to cancel a turn, so I am going in circles or running into things fairly frequently.
  25. Ok so it's not me then. We both posted about this at the same time :D I attached logs and such in my thread so hopefully this gets fixed soon-ish.
