Modpack installation fails

When I try to install the WoT modpack (v1.0.2.4_04) I get a popup after I click Next, from the folder selection page.  The box says:

 

"You must complete the installation/client update before you proceed with mods installation"

 

There is no installation or update in progress at this time.

 

The installer lets me continue, but when I start WoT I don't see any of the mods I selected.

 

This started when I tried to reinstall the modpack, after I uninstalled it due to the carousel bug in v2.4_01.

This usually shows up when your trying to install to either an incomplete install, or an empty folder. Check the install location?

@Sir Hugh Lyon Sack I recommend to perform client integrity check via the game launcher option or reinstall the game.

I uninstalled and reinstalled WoT.  I still get this error.

Post the contents of your file: app_type.xml (at WoT folder).

 

Mine looks like this:

 <app_type>hd</app_type>
 <switch_to_type>hd</switch_to_type>
</protocol>

Nevermind.  The installer was looking for WoT  on the wrong drive.  Once I pointed it to the right one, everything worked.

Yes, you did, but with my eyesight, drive "G" and drive "C" look an awful lot alike.
