I noticed the following was missing from res_mods\version\engine_config.xml

            <voice_soundbanks>
                <project>
                    <name> voiceover.bnk </name>
                <project>
                </project>
                    <name> MLG.bnk </name>
                </project>

            </voice_soundbanks>

 

Hence the 'ding' sound wasnt happening when you hit your shots.

Please patch it in for users using this mod :)

Looking at the engines_config.xml created by your modpack it didnt have it in.

Probably because i'm also using another soundmod for voices, and FPS limiter settings which all go in here.

But i assume your script can patch it in :)

I can code the patching, but I don't really have time for this, so all mods based on this xml won't be really compatible at the moment :/ There is not many of them. Like you said, FPS limiter, Hitmarker and few sound mods.

Hi, i like this mod,  (gto hit marker) , but  from some time ago , its not working, then i checked manually , in your setup (aslain), and it is deactivated  (greyed out) cause it's known to cause troubles.

Well, i would like to be able to take my chances by activating it! because i never had a problem with it... i asume i will have none from now on.

Please leave an option to activate it on my own risk!

I could do that, but there will be many users who will install it without reading any warnings. Then, the same users may experience crashes and return to me, asking to solve their issues without being aware of this mod situation. I will lose time troubleshooting issues again, and this mod is very challenging because it leaves no traces of crashes in logs that can lead to it.
