In modpack World of Tanks 1.6.0.5, Malwarebytes detects ransomware and stops installation.

Malwarebytes is just freaking out when the modpack is changing files in the res_mods and mods folders. The mass change of files triggers it, since ransomware would change files quickly too.

NOTE TO MALWAREBYTES USERS.... You will need to uncheck Malware Protection to the off position and install Alsain.

Instead of disabling or turning off your AV etc..

The correct method to shutup your AV would be to add the WOT directory to the exclusion list from your AV software.

 

For Malwarebytes, the method can be found here >> https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1130

No matter which AV software you use, it has this exclusion functionality.. just google it
