Haifeif
Hi! My virus scanner identified "infected web-ressources" while downloading the update files and blocks them. Well, 1 way could be to fool the virus scanner. But are u sure, that there really is no infected web-ressource? Rgds, Uwe Quote Link to comment
Administrator Aslain Posted July 29, 2020 Administrator Share Posted July 29, 2020 You mean the mods downloaded by the installer? They are perfectly safe, so is the source. False positive like always was and always be. Quote Link to comment
Cookie Dog
Nowadays antiviruses check for comportment instead for checking if the files are infected. It is not worth it making sure the installer can be recognized by antiviruses, imo if it does what it does and it comes from Aslain, it's enough for me. Quote Link to comment
kolkhoznik666
can the avast "antivirus" even be called as antivirus tho lol Quote Link to comment
Kathsija
Hello Aslain First of all thanks for the great mod pack. Best of breeds :) I can confirm the virusscanner issue. It happens (for me) when the installer tries to download Battle hits mod. I just click next, and the installer skips it. But then I have to do without battle hits. I could also add an exception to my virusscanner, but I really don't like to do that unless I know who's behind the IP. For information, I run Bitdefender antivirus, and it tells me it's a site known for malicious code Kind regards Thomas Quote Link to comment
DRAGONFIRE_Sr
try clicking on the [direct] part of the link, it seems to bypass that error....That works for me anyhow. :D Quote Link to comment
