Broken xvm + Aslains Mod

Recommended Posts

So I first installed xvm to World Of Tanks. I didn't like some hud stuff, etc. so I installed Aslains Mod. When I set the different stuff I want, in the launcher where you can configure settings. For example, I set Vehicle Markers to a style I want. And a lot of different mods. But when I logged to World Of Tanks, it acted like I only had xvm. I mean, when I logged to WoT, it showed me the Aslains modpack, it said that its up to date. But when I went to battle, nothing changed, still xvm configurations, not the ones I set it to. I dont know what to do, I am trying to fix this for 3 hours but dont know how.

I'm pretty sure you are not doing it right, the installer is fine so are the mods.

When you want to remove unwanted mods, simply reinstall the modpack without those mods, make sure you have checked previously installed mods option.

Are you installing to proper destination folder, and as an admin, the same when you play, on admin account?

Just now, Maverick308 said:

I think what Aslain isnt explaining is you didnt get the mod from him (this website). He cant guarantee what you are downloading from other sites is even his work. The only place you should be getting the mod from is here.

That's incorrect. Aslain also uploads the modpack to wgmods.net which is what nidm is talking about where he got it from. wgmods.net download is linked to from the forum thread you posted. :grimace:

Aslain was asking if he was downloading other mods from wgmods.net and not just his modpack, to rule out 3rd party mods being an issue.

I give up. I tried everything. I went to WoT files and deleted everything, then went to WoT launcher and clicked "Check and repair". It repaired it, so I had no mods, just normal WoT. Then I installed Aslains Mod Pack again thru wgmods. I configured it so I had xvm, I modified Vehicle Markers how I like it ( different than XVM sets it to ) but when I went to battle, it's not how I set it, its like xvm set it to. So then I went to this website, I downloaded it thru here, where Aslain uploaded it. Made the configurations, and still the same problem. I give up, I dont know what to do :(

have u tried deleting all the folders from this folder C:\Games\World_of_Tanks_EU\Aslain_Modpack\DL_cache

i have to delete these folders manually   everytime there's anew update on any of the mods  in this folder

maybe try doing that before running the installer

It seems that the modpack is interferring with xvm ( atleast for me ). Because, I cant change any Vehicle Markers ( after change its still like xvm ), then damage done and recieved, that too I cant change ( after change its still like xvm ). There are some stuff I can change, but mainly hud things I cant.

You still didnt attach logs, but on your screenshot I see error regarding missing xvm files, thjat's why you are getting default XVM. It's quite possible you are not installing it as admin, or files are locked, or you manually deleted that file. You never answered my question so....

Archiver_Logs is empty, after a game. When I went to the files where it says its "missing", a XC file named exactly what it says, was there. Well, I'm not an Admin on my pc, but I ran the launcher as Admin. I don't know which files are locked and I didnt manually delete any file. Well I did, but later I re-installed. I'm installing the mods to World_Of_Tanks_EU file, the world of tanks file. I dont know what I'm doing wrong :(
