Latest Modpack Install Is Deleting My XVM Users Data Folders (Like my Carousel Reserve Tanks)

At this file location, my "users" folder is empty after each modpack installation:  C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks\xvm\users\.   As a result, things like my carousel reserve tanks (reserve.dat) are gone/deleted and I have to resave them all individually inside the game client.  I noticed my reserve tanks were not saved with each new modpack install starting with Aslain v1.14.1.3_01, or perhaps even earlier with v1.14.1.2_xx.  I finally did some researching and isolated the problem with the empty "users" folder.   As a work around, I am copying my "users" folder to a backup location and then with each new modpack install, I'm pasting my "users" folder where they should be.   It's saving me from having to reselect my reserve tanks for each of my WoT accounts, which was a real pain.

Are you selecting to delete cache in the installer?

 

Didn't share log files, so I'm guessing that is what you're ended up selecting.

Yep, delete cache was checked so a self-inflicted wound.  I have no idea why I chose to delete my game cache several mod pack updates ago ... I suppose it was ignorance as to what "game cache" includes.  Thank you very much (from a bit less ignorant WoT player).

Delete game gache is option for users who has encountered various problems related to corrupted cache/cfg files located in the appdata. This option should be used when nothing else is helping, it's harsh indeed, but can fix the majority of issues regarding the appdata folder.
