Girls und Panzer crew voices not working

Hi!

TL;DR: Girls und Panzer doesn't work on it's own or with other sounds mods installed at the same time. Other sound mods work fine.

 

So as my title suggests, the Girls und Panzer crew voices don't work. I've used the mod that changes crew voices and gives you the option to sellect any nation you'd like and it works fine. Although when I install Girls und Panzer (either on top of previous voice mod or as the only sound mod selected), the selection for all voices appears but testing the sound doesn't do anything. By that I mean no voice can be heard, and that applies to settings as well as in battle. The Girl und Panzer mod, after further testing overrides the mod for all nation crew voices as they do not appear in options again. I will play 1 battle and upload all logs necessary.

It's hard to predict results, crew sounds depends on many factors, your crew nationality, mods, selections in the game options and in mod options. If this setup doesn't work, try to reduce the number of sound mods you install at the same time.

The only one I installed was GuP, that's the problem.

I think maybe the mod is outdated or something and need some tweaks to work in newer version of the game. Or maybe there is a way to add custom crew voices manually? But I don't have the GuP voice files to try and get the into the "custom" commander voice folder. But that would take away the choice you have in in-game setting to test all of them at once. Any ideas how to fix that?

This part I think you missed @Aslain, as I did try to bug test and find what mod might conflict with this one. But from what I gathered, it's a problem with the mod itself, not any interference with others.

Installed only GuP crew voices, they work fine, I can select them, hear them by the voice Test button, and also in battle I can hear their voices, that mod works as intended from what I see/hear.

 

the GuP voices and Crew Voices Selector are based on the same file and will work when installed together. This file is: main_sound_modes.xml

So what mod might be conflicting with it? I have no other sound mods installed. Anything in the logs?

In your logs you have Crew Voices Selector, uncheck it.

I also installed all the mods you have selected and I still can heard GuP voices.

Still not working. Maybe I unckecked the wrong mod? Can you check? I checked in the installer and no sound mods are selected other that GuP.

Then I have no Idea what might be causing the issue for me. All other sound mods work apart from this one.

Do you experience this problem with all crews, regardless of the type of tank and crew setup?

 

Check if you have this file valid, test it, c:\Games\World_of_Tanks_EU\Aslain_Modpack\DL_cache\crewVoices_GirlsUndPanzer_1.26.0.0.7z

Found the problem. The voices are very quiet as I keep my game at 6% main volume. I just have to adjust the volumes accordingly when increasing main volume.
