Pavlito73 Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 Hi everyone, I’ve been using Tank Icon Maker (v0.69, also tested with Maggz’s fork) to create my custom contour icons. Everything worked fine on WoT 1.29.1.0, but since the update to 1.29.1.1 many tanks now show a warning icon, and when I double-click them I get the message: “the image for this tank is missing” I already tried: Using the latest compiled .exe from Maggz’s GitHub fork Setting the correct path for WoT 1.29.1.1 Checking my res\packages\ folder (I see only .pkg archives, no direct contour folder) But the problem persists. ❓ Has anyone else experienced the same issue with Tank Icon Maker on 1.29.1.1? ❓ Did WG change the internal codenames/paths for some tanks in this version? ❓ Any workaround (e.g. extracting gui/maps/icons/vehicle/contour/ from gui.pkg) that actually fixes the missing images? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Pavlito Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted August 17, 2025 Moderator Posted August 17, 2025 Open WotGameVersion-#0001.xml in Data folder Look at the line at the bottom with "GuiPackageName" Add the new "gui-part4" there 1 Quote
Pavlito73 Posted August 17, 2025 Author Posted August 17, 2025 Hi, Thanx for you immediate help! I cannot find the data folder. Only the gui_part4.pkg in world_of_tanks/res/packages folder 😞 Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted August 17, 2025 Moderator Posted August 17, 2025 It's in Tank Icon Maker you need to edit something, NOT World of Tanks itself 🙂 Open TIM folder - and it should have the Data folder - and the file I mentioned Quote
Pavlito73 Posted August 17, 2025 Author Posted August 17, 2025 Oh sorry, I did ot, but still, nothing 😞 Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted August 17, 2025 Moderator Posted August 17, 2025 Could you screenshot all of Tank Icon Maker, the program, to give a better idea what you might be running into of issues? As mine is working fine, and I just had to do that, hmm 🙂 Quote
Solution Pavlito73 Posted August 17, 2025 Author Solution Posted August 17, 2025 sorry, you mean this image? i thin i fixed it. i had to add gui-part4 on the wotgameversion 0408.xml Quaksen, I REALLY thank you for your help !!!! A cold beer will wait for you when you visit Greece !!!! Tnanx again !!!! Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted August 17, 2025 Moderator Posted August 17, 2025 (edited) Ah... this is on me 😛 I had a backup of the wotgameversion 0001 file, and thought that was the only one I had edited.. You need to edit the other one(s) too.. like if you have a 0408 one, add the "gui-part4" to that as well.. Edit: Ahh, you figured it out, I didn't see the edit 😄 Edited August 17, 2025 by Quaksen Quote
