Reworked tank balancing with WoT 2.0 - Your opinion and thoughts

WG has reworked the tank balancing with WoT 2.0 massively. The motivation was clear, since before penetration and damage of newly added tanks had gotten higher and higher, everything has gotten out of control.

 

Now most tanks of a tier and class have more or less the same penetration and same damage. On the first view this looks good, but suddenly having good armour is more important than before and suddenly it has become a challenge to penetrate tanks of 1 tier higher, which before was still possible. 

 

From my point of view, the levelling of the penetration was a bad idea. Of course, before there were tanks which had too much pen, but now all tanks (of a tier and class) have more or less the same pen. You can't choose anymore between a tank with a good gun and less armour and a tank with a mediocre gun and good armour, since all guns are now more or less equal.
