SoftwareSimian Posted May 5 Posted May 5 The new simplified upgrade-using-existing-settings feature is nice, but it doesn't show the changes in the new version. When I install a new version I usually just click next-next-next but I always skim the changelog first to see if there is some new mod or otherwise interesting info. It would be great if the installer could show the latest changelog on the same screen where it prompts you for easy-upgrade, so I can sensibly choose between easy-upgrade and full install wizard. Administrator Aslain Posted May 5 Administrator Posted May 5 I was thinking of it too, before. For now it's what it is, if you want to see the changelog, don't auto-update or visit the places where it's provided. Quote
SoftwareSimian Posted May 7 Author Posted May 7 Also, recent modpack versions (since the last micropatch I think) seem to just upgrade-and-disappear. I'm pretty sure there used to be some kind of "installation complete" message at some point, now it just seems to disappear and I can't tell when it's actually complete so I can start the game. Doing the long install works as expected. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted May 7 Administrator Posted May 7 Indeed, the message with complete info is missing, but it's updating for real. I will check this out. Quote
Baraan Posted Thursday at 10:15 AM Posted Thursday at 10:15 AM I just came here to write a new post about the new in place upgrade. I don't miss the changelog, I like the no frills version. Shaved a few seconds from the update process, thanks. Quote
