Beginning with modpack 2.2.1.3, the install bypasses most initial screens including where one chooses which mod to install.

Since 2.1.1.3 (and possibly earlier) when a new modpack comes out and I go to install it, this is how it goes:

 

When installing the new modpack the first time these are the screens that popup:

1. Select language

2. World of Tanks Modpack main screen - click 'Next'

3. Never shows any other screens including choosing which mods to load, but goes right into installing the update.

4. Ends with the Donation screen

 

When installing the same modpack a second time, after the first one completes, everything works are expected - all install screens show up and I click right through them.

 

This would be OK because I rarely change which mods to load.  But if I did want to do that, I'd have to install the modpack twice in order to get the mods-select page.

 

Is this an issue with just me?

No you don't have to do it like you described, I inever saw such issue before. For me the installer is working as intended.

 

I checked your log, but it looks like this log is from a normal installation, because it shows that the mod selection screen was displayed.

1. Do you start the installer by double-clicking the downloaded .exe file?
2. Or do you start it from an updater/shortcut?
3. Does this happen every time a new modpack version is released?
4. If possible, can you record a short video when it happens or at least screenshot of every stage of the iinstallation?

I didn't think about getting a log file from when it zipped past all the screens.  The log file I sent is the one from when it worked as usual.

1. Yes - sometimes the .exe

2. Yes - other times I click the file in the Firefox download window.  I don't think it makes a difference, but I will keep that in mind next time

3. Every time a new modpack version is released - at least since 2.1.1.0

4. I will try a video, but at least will screen shot each step when the next modpack is released.

I just realized installing 2.2.1.3.10 that I completely missed the option on the screen below.  I automatically just clicked YES, not realizing it's function.  That's why the install bypasses the screen to choose options, etc, and goes right into installing.

 

Quick question:

 

This screen must be fairly new?

The auto‑update function and the ability to download the new modpack were introduced in April, along with several other enhancements that began rolling out gradually around that time.
