Multi-Row Carousel Return.... A different take/suggestion.

So, I had an idea.
Instead of trying to "bring back" the Old Multi-Row Tank Carousel on the main page if it's too hard to do, what if the "current one", that we get by pressing the "Space Bar" was instead "Edited" slightly?

 

What I'm suggesting is:
1. Give us a "Horizontal Scroll" instead of Vertical scroll of the tanks in that carousel.

2. Reduce the "Size" of the Tank Icons in the new Space Bar section.

 

Why do I suggest this?

1. The Vertical Scroll instead of the traditional Horizontal scroll of the Icons, like there is on the main page still, makes it very uncomfortable to look at the carousel.
2. In the new space bar area the "Tank Icons" are simply "too big", so it's very "uncomfortable" to look at for me.  This makes me not want to use it.  They feel HUGE... so it hurts the eyes to look at that carousel, and try to scroll through the tanks.  It's not comfortable like using the original carousel's we have and have had in the past.

 

Potential issues:

1. I see no issues with the normal "Horizontal Scroll" of the carousel.  Should work fine switching it from the vertical scroll version.
2. Making the Icons "smaller" might be an issue.
- We could maybe try to just change the Vertical Scroll and see how it works, if it's enough of a change.  It might be.  Though, I don't think it will be enough.  The icons are still too HUGE for me.
- If we make the icons smaller we might end up having "6 Rows" of tank icons, instead of the current "5 Rows".  This would likely "still" be "overwhelming" visually to look at.

We could maybe try to simply make the Icons "smaller" and then basically having the equivalent of an "entire row" of "space" at the Top.  While not the most ideal, it might actually be okay, because then the entire screen is not "filled up" with Tank Icons as it currently is.

In this case we would STILL keep the number of Rows as "5 Rows", but the Icons would simply be "smaller" so they are more visually comfortable to look at.
I think the filling up of the entire screen with tank icons is part of what makes it so uncomfortable to look at.  So, having an "empty row" at the time might be fine.
Another thought is just make it so there are "4 Rows" of tanks, so even though they are "huge" still, having an "empty row" at the top of the carousel might actually make it visually tolerable.

 

In conclusion, if XVM were to "edit" this new carousel in the space bar area, so the icons were "smaller" and we had "Horizontal Scroll" again, while not the ideal, it would at least be a "usable" carousel to use again since we can't have it on the main page like before.
What are peoples thoughts...?  I think this would be a "workable" solution, and shouldn't take too much work to implement?

P.S.  Here's a Mockup....
I have not "reduced the size" of the Icons....  It's of course not true to scale, but at least at the scale of the image it actually looks really good.
Of course, it would be a Horizontal Scroll still....
But, "4 Rows" and repositioned as the image would be better...  BUT, if you could also "Reduce the Size of the Icons" it might even better.
You could test trying "5 Rows" and "4 Rows".... to see which comes out best...

I think this is doable?  :)  :)

Also, I've posted this over at the XVM Team....
But, this is for anyone who thinks this can be done, and could turn it into a Mod....?
