3 issues with 3 different mods

The locations of the box of "Random tank selection v1" from Z4imon, and the indicator of "Aiming timer: new" from protanki keep resetting after every reinstall. 

And cannot switch from sniper mode to 3rd person view when the "Show vehicle body in the sniper view" from Pokyacov_Yury is enabled.

You didnt include logs, do it.

 

If something resets between modpack installation, it might be sign you are clearing the game cache via the installation option in the modpack. Check this out.

Since when it's not remembering setting of Aiming timer: new? 

I confirmed the issue with Random tank selection. The author is checking this.... it's all I can do.

 

For the Aiming timer, I will maybe backup automaticaly this mod config, it should start securing this mod config.

 

I don't know about the Show Vehicle Body mod, never heard such issue, have you tried to toggle the mod (F11) when this happens? Cannot reproduce this issue. Since when it behaves like that? Maybe it's intended.

it never remembered the location since i first started to use the aiming timer mod :peepoShrug:

 

i checked and first time i tried the show hull in sniper mode mod is at 6 february 2023, i kept reinstalling the mod to check if this got fixed but it was the same everytime. maybe that additional zoom level causes it? yknow it adds another zoom level to be able to see the hull better, it was 0.8x zoom as standart, so the game only changes the view mode from 1x zoom but doesn't do it when it's 0.8x zoom :peepoShrug: i tried using F11.

 

i went to test after typing those, so what causes the problem is the 0.8x zoom for some reason, which was the default zoom level when i first installed it. any zoom level other than that works fine. but that "add another zoom value" setting doesnt work, it adds another zoom value either way. another thing is it messes up the "preferred sniper mode zoom level" setting, since it's adding another zoom level 2x becomes the 0.8x and 4x becomes the 2x. and also it doesn't display the additional zoom level in the sniper mode, yknow normally you would see the 2x 4x around the reticle but you don't see the 0.8x. F11 didn't help either, but at least it helped to disable it so i could complete the battle normally.

In the next modpack I will update and fix it in the Show Vehicle. Secure your config with vehicle list, if you have to insert it in the new config.

uhm, 0.1x 0.2x and 0.3x zoom levels crash the game, it starts working at 0.4x zoom but yeah good luck playing at this 0.4x zoom :KEKW:

one last thing, others are okay but it doesn't display the 1x zoom text.

Thanks for the report! Both fixed in 2.0.1: zoom values below x0.5 are now blocked (they push the game's field of view to ~180 degrees, which crashes the engine - that's also why x0.4 looks so fisheye), the slider range is now x0.5 - x1.0, and the x1 zoom text now displays correctly. Existing configs with lower values will auto-correct on game start.

 

Please test this, before I release: aslain.showvehicle_2.0.1.wotmod

 

ps. you didn't tell if the initial bugs you reported were fixed for you or not.

yeah everythings works perfectly now.

tbh on the top of it being a cool mod to have, like being able to see the hull, it can also have some good uses while playing, it can help to angle your tank better, or when aiming over the back you can predict you won't have enough gun depression over the back. can always disable as well with a single button, yeah a nice addition to the collection of the mods
