Trojan horse attached with installer file

Recommended Posts

Hey Aslain,

Thanks for developing this amazing modpack!!  I've been using it for a very long time now.  I just downloaded the latest version of it and my AVG detected a trojan horse in your file.  I'll attach a pic of it here for you so you can see what it is.  If you could help with this I'd really appreciate it because I can't reinstall your modpack anymore as my AVG won't allow me to.  :(

Thanks!

Mark.

After downloading modpack and choosing to run, the screen which asks you to choose language is where you should disable AVG for 10 minutes by rt clicking on the AVG icon in your system tray, then click on appropriate language, then click to next screen which is "select components" screen.  Before actually choosing which mods you are about to install, this is where you should ENABLE AVG. Then make your mod selections and finish out as in the past.  This way, AVG is scanning the mods you are downloading for those that may fear downloading any file without AVG protection.  As stated several times here, this is a false positive.

The 'Trojan' is most likely the .exe actively searching for your WoT installation client location.

Actually, it's the isslideshow.dll file, as shown in the picture :P

Description Slide-Show with fx transitions effects, for inno setup.

Also known as, the preview window! :D

Ah yes of course.

P.S. Smartscreen likes to take a royal dump on the mod, too.. trying to block it. >xp
