Hey quick question whereabouts do you download and put these ini files into?

Depends on what do you want to achieve 🙂 You can open it with any text editor like notepad, notepad++, or use this translation app together with an english file

Ah okay, well whenever I do play on the ASIA server I used to see the boxes on the ingame chat and I remembered awhile ago when I did use Aslain mods it showed the language whatever it was at the time. I suppose I'm looking at getting that back up and running again. I kinda do miss that

I see, well this thread is for translation purposes only. So even having the .ini files from here you cannot do anything about it, it's just for me and translators.

Hi,
I tried your mod pack in wot and it's really awesome. You did a great job, but I'm Vietnamese playing on EU Server so there's no language that works for me. Could you please give me a Vietnamese Wot mod pack?
I'd really appreciate it
Have a nice day.

If you would like to translate the modpack to different language, please post in this topic. Do not send me PM's or Skype messages, or emails, everything must be in this topic, and open to public.

Would be good if translator could pay attention to installer updates, otherwise if the missing lines of component exceeds no. 40, I will disable the language until it's up to date again.

Link to latest language file for all those who have plans to make own translation, or fix current translation errors and mistakes.

Hi,

Here is the Japanese translation.
Again, the mod name itself is left in English.

I would like to keep the name of each mod as it is and translate the description into Japanese.

Is it possible to make the description Japanese only when the user first select Japanese in the installer?

Due to technical reasons I cannot use translations for the descriptions. I tried in the past, it's crashing the installer. It's not capable to hold so many countries with localization texts. @syumai

I see.
It would be better if the modpacks were still displayed in English so that a google search can find sites that explain how to use the mods in Japanese.
As far as I know, that is the majority opinion.
So, I will not translate only the names of each mod into Japanese in the future too.

Thank you.

This is the Japanese translation.
For this update, I’ve listed each mod’s name alongside its original English name and either a free translation into Japanese or a brief description of its effects.
I will make corrections if any mistranslations are reported.
There may be some places where lines have been broken due to their length, but I’ll review the results and make adjustments as needed.

Use this file as a base, you probably translated older installer files.

Generral rule for translation, always ask for the latest files, don't step ahead.

From what I remember, your idea for JP translation is to use English names in a lot of places. That’s very unusual, and I’m not sure it’s correct. Why do you do it, and is that actually the norm? Do Japanese players like seeing English instead of Japanese?

ps. The translation tools may break the format of translation file regarding the category decorators (it's not designed to keep the space between striing and the = character, have it in mind, they can help but I don't guarantee it will be proper way to translate.

The reasons I haven’t translated the English names into Japanese so far are that existing Japanese players are already familiar with the mod’s English names even if they don’t understand English, that websites introducing useful mods in Japanese list them using their English names, and that even if I were to translate them literally into Japanese, people probably wouldn’t understand what they refer to. Therefore, suddenly replacing all the English mod names with Japanese ones could cause confusion. This means you might receive a large number of inquiries from users.

Since a search function has recently been added to the installer, I made this change to make it easier for more Japanese players to find mods they want to try using Japanese search terms. I apologize for submitting this update without consulting you first.

I will revise the translation based on the newly specified file, but if including the Japanese text alongside the English is not acceptable, I will send the mod name in English only, as before.

lets make it your way, english names, english + jap is the best, but will look ugly on the list (too long lines)
