Normally sound mods are problematic for slow PCs. Also the reload timers, especially graphical ones result in lower FPS in my experience. Other than that, there are not many mods which slow down the computer, you should arrange game graphics settings in the game. I also have an old PC and use the standard graphics with around 80-90 FPS; if I choose improved, it is unplayable for me.
