Interesting development!

The bug is back. Yesterday everything worked just fine, but today I got the same error:

edit: I found the culprit: I have been using the Stardock utility "CPU-Cores" to squeeze a few more fps out of the game, but when I launch WoT without this utility, the modpack works just fine.

So you can put this utility on your list of incompatible apps.
