Great. And BTW, your suggestion of installing Crew Exp Extended did fix the problem.

More info on above problem....
Took a look at python.log and found "[SL_PRO] Skipped Script: mod_battlehits.pyc". Searched resmod folder and could not locate "mod_battlehits.pyc."
Turned off virus protection and windows defender and repeated aslain install. No joy...same error and still cannot locate the pyc file.
Not critical so work on more important stuff before giving this a look.

Game is hosed if try to use the newly added Battle HIts Viewer. Upon launching game, get this notification:
Error: ScriptLoader PRO v1.22: Error by executing script(s): mod_battlehits.pyc Check Python Logfile for detailed Informations [ C:/Games/World_of_Tanks/Python.log ].
If this mod isn't selected in Aslains setup, all is good. If selected, lots of bad... can't see any tanks on the battle field, game doesn't close properly (have to use task manager to kill it), and more.

Seems to have been resolved. Saw 2 Defenders today, and both had the correct player name in the player panels.

Don't have one from that battle. Will take one if/when see another Defender.

Running 9.17.1 #4 using wizards icons.
Played game with 3 of the new OBJ 252 Defenders in it. Player panel listed the player's names (those that had that tank) as "Defender". All else was good (icon, WN8 color coding, etc.).

It works (with #03B, didn't get around to #02 and #03).

- Wizard's icons - does not show in player panel or battle load screen
--- Installed Aslain icons (contour with arab #) and it works fine
- Gunsights missing reticle: Harpoon and Jimbo's #2
- Gunsight missing shell load indicator: Jimbos's @3
All others good so far. Appears stable.

You need to check the option "for XVM (check - if you're installing XVM)" which is under The Mod Pack > Vehicle Contour icons > Contour icons installation mode
