Im also having this very same issue.  I played several times today at different times and no problems.  Got home from work this evening and downloaded the new modpack iteration for 7.9 and I am getting the same error box as above while trying to log in to the game.   I would be hard pressed to believe that it is anything but a mod relate issue.  

I went on to TS to talk to clan members and anyone who has downloaded the new modpack cant log in and those who havent dont have any problems logging in.

I also tried the verify and repair feature on the Wargaming welcome center and that did not fix the issue either.
