Success! It appears to be a Malwarebytes issue, for me anyway.  The file was the minimaps_HD thingy if I read it correctly.  So I quit MB and the install performed perfectly.  Welp, time to go bust some armor.  Hope this helps someone.

Ahh ok.  Common thread since I am running MB as well.  Will try this.

I have had another weird issue as well.  With update 13 of the game, my preferences stopped saving and some mods stopped loading.  If I run the game as an admin everything works.

I have run into something odd with 13.0.  The game stopped saving my preferences completely...or so I thought.  I am not sure what changed or whatever but I found that I have to run the game as an administrator to have preferences saved.  Also odd, several mods that stopped working in the past suddenly started working again when running the game as admin.  I have no idea why this would be as I have not changed ACLS or anything for my installation folder.

There does seem to be something hanging longer at the finishing part.  Mine hangs for about 15 seconds and then completes.

That did the trick and fixed so many other UI issues I was having.  Thanks!

Thanks Aslain.  You are referring to the preferences.xml in the top level World Of Warships folder, correct?  I see another in that folder as well called user_preferences.xml last updated in June.

Is there a way to save the setting I like for Adjustable Markers or will it reset every time I start WOWS?
