  1. Well, I think it might also explain those times when I get shot through a rock playing peek-a-boo. I peek out and shoot - get back behind obstacle - Boom, I'm dead from tank I just shot but now can't see me. Hehehe, I was dead before I moved back. We know for certain that the game goes on without us on the server, so shot / damage results can't depend on feedback from client. It all has to happen on the server. Otherwise if I am disconnected for some reason you could shoot me all day long and not kill me because my client didn't send results. This theory seems further supported by the fact that when I shoot someone I instantly see the value of the damage. Maybe you just need a new mouse 'Scorp' :D
  2. I noticed something pretty interesting about the way the game really works "under the hood". I am lighting a target and try to shoot him but my gun won't fire (no matter how hard I push the button), and BOOM, I am dead. I'm guessing that I was already dead because the server had already done the damage/kill calculations the instant my opponent pulled his trigger, even though the round hadn't left his barrel yet. So, I'm still in the battle, still have full mobility, but technically, I am already dead. It also explains why I have been unable to outrun those really slow BIG Howitzer rounds you can see coming a mile away and look like you could just reach up and catch like a baseball. Pure speculation of course.
  3. I found the spot and made the change. Tried it twice and it's still the same problem. Were you able to duplicate the problem? If so, and that change fixed it for you then please PM me the changed file and I will try that one.
  4. after update to 3.19 I noticed that the WN8 number for all players on my team is white color only. Enemy WN8 ratings look the usual way. I re-installed and still have problem. attached is screenshot of install options, screenshot of in-game team panel display, and required log files. XVM Issue.zip _Aslain_logs.zip python.log.zip
  5. Scorpiany, Awesome explanation / illustrations. There is however one area which I cannot understand at all....perhaps you can enlighten me further. In the section Ditches and Bumps I found the following "However, the T29 is in the ditch next to the lakeside, thus his tank is out of my line of sight. He can see me, but I can't see him." Since there is no direct line of sight, how is he able to see you, yet, you can't see him. I have been bewildered by this exact situation since I started this game. How can this be especially since your viewport is on the highest point on your tank. This part makes my brain hurt. What am I missing?
  6. Sounds a lot like the Effective Armor Calculator (not sure if it's Jimbo's). If it is then it is displaying the effective armor value for your exposed areas (front and side). Angling your tank to one side or the other changes the effectiveness of your armor. These numbers tell you how much.
  7. Not sure if I made it clear that what I'd like reflected is the TOTAL XP needed to reach 100%. As opposed to the amount needed to reach the next percentile.
  8. I just edited thescreen capture to demonstrate the idea. I think it would be very useful.
  9. Would it be possible to place the amount of Xp needed to reach 100% of Base Qual or current skill, which would be visible always on the same line as the skills are listed now, in the crew panel in the Garage? This would let me very quickly scan tanks to decide which one I wanted to roll with, without having to open the personal info screen for each crew member each time. Please see attached image for an idea of what I'd like to see. This example only shows the amount for 2 crew members, but I'd like it to show for all.
  10. Now I'm ROFLMAO...I'm really sorry. I didn't realize you were only ten
  11. Obviously your feelings were hurt. LMFAO even harder.
  12. WOW.....I was just providing a data point while trying to help the cause I'm sorry you got your feelings hurt....lmfao
  13. Please do not remove it Aslain.....It works fine......I was just pointing it out in case it was easy fix....Can you tell me how to reach author?
  14. Noticed some minor issues. First, if I go to replay manager, select a battle, and select the "view results" option, look at results, close replay manager, and go back into battle, XVM stats are missing. The framework is still there (I can see player & tank names), but the stats are not, either for the panel or in game. I have done 3 iterations on this to make certain.....no big deal now that I know. Was same behavior with .8 also Second, thanks to Anomaly for the translation........If he would be so kind as to translate the dialog box and buttons for the replay option. Also, when I choose replay mission, and hit what I think is the OK button I just get disconnected from server. Since I can't read the dialog text I can't tell if this is expected behavior or not. This is an awesome mod.....thanks for adding it! _Aslain_logs.zip python.zip
  15. Here's what I do and it works every time (except for 3.8.6 before hotfix.) If I am just updating to new version, and/or just adding features to existing version, then I do "Normal Installation" If I am trying to remove a previously installed feature in any case, I always do "Clean Install- FULL" Seems to work just fine. If you have not done it this way, then I suggest you try it and see if it works.
  16. Awesome.....Everything is working and I have my view range display back in my game !!! Many thanks to Almace who showed me how to install mods in proper sequence, then configure Aslain's XVM installer to automatically install the mod. No more frustrations each time something changes. Also, thanks to BeGiN and Aslain for conceiving and implementing the Custom mods feature.
  17. Okay....here is Locastan's updated mod for 0.9.2. I just assumed Aslain had it already because the Maps from it are available thru his mod installer. We really don't need to kick this dog anymore. I just thought it might be easy to add the info to the XVM minimap mod or something. locastans Minimap_Gen4_92.zip
  18. Hopefully this will clear up all of the confusion. Look for the Orange text display just above the equipment boxes in the attached screenshot. It only shows 1 value because I installed a test copy with new user and no money to buy binocs. If I had binoculars it would show both values. shot_001 (2).zip
  19. I am not a programmer. But perhaps it just be a whole lot easier to have an option to display the same data added to the XVM minimap? That would probably be much better from a compatibility standpoint, and not a burden for every update. Can beg if necessary...lol
  20. Yes, it's the same information, that changes dynamically depending on the tank, and how it is equipped, only it is visible during the entire game, just above the equipment.
  21. I have confirmed that it is a feature of Locastan's minimap mod. I did a new install on another system, and his was the only mod I installed. Is there any chance that installing his mod could be incorporated into the installer since it has been updated for 0.9.2? We already have the option to get his hi-res maps (which I don't use) so it would be real nice for me to be able to choose his minimap mod, and NOT have to use his maps.
