  1. Noticed the latest update of the pack installed a player count in my garage, next to my latency counts. Anyway to turn that off? I already know no one else plays West :P
  2. Very cool, I registered on the roughnecks site, awaiting approval. This might be a stupid question, but without translating that page, is that a Python scripting tool pack? Are they customized tools, like written specifically for WoT modding/scripting?
  3. WoT is one of the few major games I can think of that uses Python. Python isn't very daunting in terms of syntax, coming from a background with C. I heard Melty's Mod is going to be discontinued and, in addition to various other issues, this makes me want to step up and actually become part of the solution with modding rather than another user just hoping someone does it for me. Is there an English WoT modding community anywhere? Most of the major modders I can think of (including Aslain) are not native English speakers and I think a lot of their inter-modder discussions happen in non-English venues. Where's a good place to find modder discussions on things like Python and how/what changes internally between patching? Any other advice outside of familiarizing myself with Python?
  4. Done everything including a fresh reinstallation of WoT, manually removed hidden folders from the cache, played vanilla with modpack and without. The XVM site settings actually have nothing to do with this issue though. Those are separate and independent options.
  5. Bumping this because it's newer than the one I just replied in.
  6. Never once had to do that, ever. Been using this modpack since 9.5 I think, installed the game around then. The latest modpack had the WN8 color and rating options completely removed from the installer executable. I know I can do it manually, like everyone can, but I thought the idea of this modpack was to make it easy to install and configure mods correctly, so I wanted to put in the bug report for it. I've updated the information along with a screenshot of the Battle Load window in a newer post.
  7. I know the WN8 installer options were removed from latest modpack, but wanted to put in a bug report just in case. My in-game battle window only displays WG's Personal Rating, and the per-vehicle WN8 is completely broken (code issue). Every install I've done since I first used your modpack has been with "WN8 rating" and "WOTlab's color scheme (2 red colors)" selected. I also cannot use or see WOTlab's color scheme (I had that option chosen on last installer version yesterday, still did not work then). I included a screenshot of the Battle Loading window. _Aslain_logs.zip python.log
  8. Used your installer and chose to display WN8 with WOTlabs color scheme (with 2 red colors), but in game I'm getting the default WOTlabs scheme and it is only showing me player's Personal Ratings on all in-game panels (Advanced Stats is my chosen option for Tab key while in battle). Attached the logs below. _Aslain_logs.zip python.log
  9. I don't quite understand the question, but if you can rephrase it I may be able to help.
  10. Aslain I really appreciate the 9.7 version you got out a few days ago, I can barely even play vanilla after using your modpack for so long. I was wondering if there's gonna be a full version out this week, one with locastan's maps and the other random mods that went missing in the latest version? Are you just waiting on the modders to update their stuff?
  11. Problem solved, except for the weird font issue. Everytime I Print Screen inside WOT to save the screenshot, it never saves the image in the clipboard for paste into an image. It's not a big deal though, I can tolerate it.
  12. I saw a similar problem crop up and replied in that thread, but I wanted to start my own with the logs. I'll remove those posts. Since client update earlier I have two versions of WN8 being used in-game. During the Battle Load window I see it correctly, the way I have it setup. It shows Simple With Vehicle Names using the four digit WN8 format. However, the right hand side of the window shows player names in a default MS system font, and the left shows the normal XVM font like it should be. I have zero Name Plate options, I use a bare minimum install with just color indications and WN8 (four digit standard). During the countdown to battle it reverts to XWN8 in the player panels and uses the old color system (four colors only). However after it loads and I press Tab, I see the WOT Labs colors like I have it set to. Reinstalled/uninstalled XVM and your installer. Reinstalled WOT fresh (full new download, vanilla), reinstalled modpack again, did not help. If you need a screenshot I can restart WOT later and get it. _Aslain_logs.zip python.log
  13. I did reply in the other thread already, but just in case, I'll do it here too. Using the Windows uninstaller interface and removing the modpack that way only made WoT stop working period. The executable would not run after using launcher. I did reinstall of vanilla WoT, the problem was gone. Using latest modpack caused the problem to return, even with extremely minimal options (basically had crosshair, hitlog, minimap enhancement without anything altering in-game effects). Unfortunately because I reinstalled WoT fresh and completely removed modpack I lost the log, but I'm positive the issue with return if I reinstall modpack and I'll send the log then.
  14. It's definitely modpack related. I just did clean installs of everything, problem does not exist with mod-free install of WoT. After installing the modpack, problem returns.
  15. I tried rolling back to an old version, but unfortunately I deleted the one old enough to not break my game. I appreciate all the work done on this mod, but this is kind of a big screw up here. I'm going to start keeping old versions around for when this happens.
  16. I changed nothing in the game, the only thing I did was update to the latest XVM version and now the in-game explosions are gone. The sound is there, and I can see the "aftermath" of them, but I no longer see any effect when I shoot a tank, shoot a fuel car, or run over explodable objects.
  17. Hey so I'm having major problems with j1mb0s' crosshairs 1.43 and I need to figure out if it's him or this mod pack doing it. I have uninstalled, cleaned, cleared, reinstalled, reinstalled using different options, etc. I have even downloaded his crosshair mod via Curse manually, but the problem persists. I need to figure out if it's part of this mod pack and alterations to the GUI/aiming that causes the crosshair mods to break. If it is a problem with this pack, what's a good alternative to this that I can try out?
  18. Yep this is a continual problem having to do with Wargaming's worthless Python scripting I think. I've been having it happen as well. I'm having lots of trouble with custom crosshairs from Aslain's pack too, so I might stop using it.
  19. Starting last night my crosshair settings were being overwritten upon entering a match. From the garage screen, before I queued up and after I installed using Aslain's mod installer pack, I could open the Reticle tab and it said "jimb0's crosshair mod" like normal and it displayed the proper crosshairs in the preview window. After entering a match, it's gone. The preview window on the Reticle tab no longer has jimb0's mod name, nor does it even show the selected crosshair cursors. For example if I choose "A Shaped IV (with armor pen)" the preview window gives me a circular white shaped crosshair - which makes no sense at all. I have tried cleaning out the mods folders manually and by using the Aslain installer, but it still won't work. I tried installing everything EXCEPT jimb0's crosshairs and then I downloaded that mod separately and installed it over the Aslain crosshair, but that didn't work either. Known issue? Time to get used to a new crosshair mod? Any ideas?
