Any ideas about this one? I get it every now and then. The game freezes on me mid-battle, so of course I open task manager and force-quit WOT (TM says WOT is not responding). When I reopen the game, it is stuck on the battle loading screen, but I can zoom in my reticle and see the outlines for it, can see enemy and friendly tank names, but no movement is allowed by my tank (can't see my tank). Look carefully at the battle loading screen, you can see the reticle through it.

 

Because it happens VERY randomly, I'm suspecting that it might be an issue on my end (computer hardware/software), but any help from anyone would be appreciated if you've had this similar issue. I'm running 16Gb of ram, so I doubt that's the issue :P

I had exactly that problem last night. Restarting game didn't help.  Could hear battle sounds, mouse moved friendly and enemy markers, but no engine sounds. I don't know if I was moving as I could not rejoin game.  I quit and went to play the other tank game...

Choose "Run as Administrator" when running the installation file?  That may help.

As you move your tank compared to the direction you are aimed at, you will see the numbers change.  Straight on, you will see the average effective armor of your front plates.  When you angle your armor, the front value will increase.  As you continue to angle your armor, you'll start to see your side armor being recalculated.  Try to find a good angle that will maximize whichever of your armor is exposed to enemy fire.

Remember that you still have weak spots that will be more vulnerable than your average front armor, including your front drive wheel that is pointed at your enemy.

Go to the XVM site, click on settings on the far top right, and change the mode from personal rating to WN8,  You can also select what percentage of clan icons you want to receive, and set your locality or language flag.

Is XVM downloading clan icons during game play?  I've not noticed any bulk download of icons from XVM...

If XVM is downloading icons, is there still any reason to check the box in Aslain's downloader to get them from your server in bulk?

I've removed crosshairs mods, zoom mods, and auto-aim mods and still get the view lock, turret lock, aim lock,

and zoom lock issue.

Edited to add:  I forgot to remove the custom mods from the installer...

Went to a basic configuration and ran 3 battles without vision lock.

I just learned how to use your custom install folder... it works great!  Thank you!

I'm getting the dots and dashes, but not the different colored dots...

Excellent work on your modpack!  I also appreciate how quickly it is available when a new WOT patch comes out.

Is it possible to make an option to apply safeshot without announcing it in battlechat?  I manually edit the safeshot.xml file after every time I install your mod updates by changing the message display to false, but if the option to prevent the display could be added as a checkbox during the install, it would be nice.

I particularly appreciate the variety of options you have included, and especially like the mini-map enhancements (both normal view and under the ALT key), the extended information on tanks, missions, and crew in the garage, and I can't tell you how often the 'spotted vehicle direction on aiming circle' mod has helped!
