@@Aslain I've just stumbled across this open source project that could benefit localizing installer.

 Seems pretty straightforward to install it and use it. This way  IMHO there's a less chance that some translator screws up other language :-)

I've been looking into this but it is posing quite the challenge.

I've found that it doesn't integrate well into an ubuntu distribution if gitlab is installed as well. 

I found an alternative called pootle, but that looks like it hasn't been updated in forever and a day.

I'll continue my investigation on weblate but I expect it to take a while still so no ETA just yet ;)

Browsers are currently flagging all content from mediafire as malware. Switching to one of the other mirrors should solve this issue.

Issue is beyond user control. Google decided that the whole mediafire domain can't be trusted.

A triple post. Go figure ;) I never trust built in AV protection in browsers. If I can turn it off I always do.

Sounds to me like there is an issue with the linking from the installer to the DLC server or insufficient rights to write/read to/from a specific directory. As Grandorf suggested remove all mod related content in all subdirectories and try again. Then run the installer as an administrator and see what happens. If that also fails then there is an issue with the installer itself.

Maybe it's time for me to stop flooding the interwebz with infected copies of the installer which play this videofile instead ;)

Truthfully I have no clue on what would be causing this. I'd suggest disabling it and see what happens.

Seems like a sandboxing issue to me though. What kind of antvir / firewall do you run?

Probably a minor increment in the version number. Editing the res_mods version number should give back some of the functionality (how to do this can be found in older/other topics)

Uhm so yeah it could be anything to be honest but I'm sure it has something to do with either your network or you local security settings. try switching things on and off in that general area

Disable your firewall and try again :)
