AvalancheZ250 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Just so people can understand what I'm saying: Game render resolution - The resolution at which the game engine renders the graphics Windowed screen resolution - The resolution of my the WoT game window when in Windowed Mode Vanilla - Base game with no mods. The baseline I use for comparisons (Please tell me if I've butchered any definitions, its been a while) Mods forcing 1920 x 1080 game resolution is a problem I always seem to have when using mods from Aslain's Modpack (great features and mods btw), both before a complete game re-install and afterwards. In Vanilla mode, if I set my Windowed screen resolution to 1280 x 960 the game scales down the render resolution to 1280 x 960. It doesn't look pretty, but it runs well. Whenever I have a mod from Aslain's Modpack installed however, the game decides to always render the game to 1920 x 1080 resolution and then scale down to my selected Windowed screen resolution. The result is a massive drop in FPS, so I have to go to even lower Windowed screen resolutions to get more FPS. At this point, even playing on 1024 x 768 with the modpack installed does not yield as much FPS as playing at 1280 x 960 Windowed screen resolution did in Vanilla. I can tell this is the case by the noticeably improved visual fidelity of all objects in-game (even with all the settings in the "detailed" tab to be set to the lowest or penultimate lowest level), as well as the much smaller UI when it is set to "auto" since the UI is tied to the game render resolution rather than the Windowed screen resolution in most games (this is an assumption from my personal experience). Is there any specific mod that is causing this, and is there any fix? I do really like the mods in the modpack, but if it costs me this much FPS I don't really see how I can use it very much. I have attached the .zip file of the Aslains_WoT_Logs.zip as required for issue reporting. Aslains_WoT_Logs.zip Quote
