Installer freeze

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I had issues when I install your mod pack.

1. Stuck on "checking for update". To reproduce, run "Aslains_WoT_Modpack_installer_vXXXX  /LOADINF=_Aslains_Installer_Options.inf" using my old configure file or double click to run. Using the task manager to kill the process and re-run the installer will cause the same problem.

Once I restart the computer, It can pass the "check for update" step.

2. The mod pack will cause the desktop freeze when the installer finish checking the update, so I have to restart the "explorer" process. To get this issue, I just restart the computer and double click the install to run.

Because I known some mods I use will not work if I install your mod pack multiple times, I would run your uninstaller (unins000.exe) in Aslain_Modpack before a new install. Therefore, I do not have any log files when I face issues. My config file should be up to date, because I will do the following steps: 1- Backup aslains_installer and run unins000.exe to uninstall the old mod pack 2- run "Aslains_WoT_Modpack_installer_vXXXX  /LOADINF=_Aslains_Installer_Options.inf" 3- Double click the installer to run your mod pack again (because I cannot find the configure file inside Aslain_Modpack folder) 4- Backup configure file 5- run unins000.exe then run installer using the new configure file.

My system, Windows 10 Pro Version 1909 Build 18363.900. I had these issues on v_1.9.1.02 and v_1.9.1.06. Not sure other versions. If you require more information from me, please email.

I do hope I could have a easy way to backup my configurations.

Thank you
