Install download is slowing to the point of infinity

I downloaded the modpack package, selected my options and then hit "install."

 

Normally downloaded the required stuff takes maybe 1 minute or so.  But it started out saying one hour but after 10 minutes it now says 2 hours and 40 minutes.  I killed it; that's ridiculous.

 

Are the downloads broken or something?
