Modpack is searching for updates and does not finish this

So everytime i start the newest modpack installer it says initializing and then searching for updates. The problem is that this searching for updates process isnt going to be finished by the modpack installer. I waited 3 hours but it still says searching for updates. Anyone out there who knows how to fix this problem?

Uhm so yeah it could be anything to be honest but I'm sure it has something to do with either your network or you local security settings. try switching things on and off in that general area
