ASIA has not received 9.17.1 update? If you still have old modpack for 9.17.0.3 use it, and it will fix it for you, or manualy recreate missing paths (from error window).

Don't use new mods/modpack for now.

9.17.1 won't be live on that server until the 28th

I am currently running Aslains_WoT_Modpack_Installer_v.9.17.0.3_17. The game frequently hangs and ends up disconnecting. I ran WOT in safe mode and do not have that problem. This issue started with Aslains_WoT_Modpack_Installer_v.9.17.0.3_15.

I love what you do and appreciate it as well.

    Thanks!

The one I see the most is Crew skill informer having issues, try removing that and see what happens

How is possible that one day mystery engine sound is gone and now is back again?

Gotta remember that while gremlins may be to blame for a good 50+% of the problems we have mods are frequently updated and those updates especially with the last pack update may have had a simple fix.... I personally still blame the gremlins though

    Anyone still have FPS drop?

In 9.16 i have no problems( FPS 60-90), but in 9.17 i installed excatly the same mods and i have FPS 45-65 (dependig on what map is playing)

    Without mods FPS 70-100

As I stated above with the mods added it's gonna be normal as the mods consume system resources. Perhaps the change of the code wargaming used to make the game makes it more noticeable. if you are having 45-65 FPS then you really don't have a lot to worry about as the game is still really playable at that framerate

I tuned down the keepalive timeout because of the recent spike in traffic.

A few people might fall between the boat because of this.

Dealing with slow connections keeps the server busy for longer than a fast connection would.

I will tune these values further in the coming days.

Either 10k people get their download finished within a reasonable time, or everyone will be punished for those few people (so far only you) with slower connections.

My connection speed isn't slow, it's 60 Mbps........ All I know is it's a problem that was fixed before and is now not working as it was....

    No teamspeak here.

Truth be told im pretty sure the problem is with my computer but for some reason entering a battle in wot is triggering it.

I really dont know if its the modpack or not.

That being said my computer problems only started when i downloaded modpack(almost a year ago) but unfortanutely for me i downloaded from 3rd party site and mightve have gotten something along with it...(my filter wasnt allowing me to access the direct links on your page since then my filter has relented)

internet explorer randomly resets all the frequent sites it shows you on starting page every couple of hours but more importantly my computer goes into periods when nothing is using its power yet everything is frozen it can last for hours somtimes its most common when starting windows but i often have mild cases even when not starting it seems to me that entering battle in wot is simply triggering this as once in awhile i cant restart wot for 2-3 min as if its freezing up. no other programs trigger this behavior.

The regualr over the counter virus software cant find anything wrong on my computer.

    Thank you.

I would suggest going to https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/ and download. It's malewarebytes, it's better than your average antivirus and you can use it for free, with the option to upgrade it if you like it after a week or 2. another thing to maybe look into is Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool which you can find here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/malicious-software-removal-tool-details.aspx. From what you are describing it sounds like you may have malicious software or a virus that your conventional antivirus isn't picking up. If neither of those find anything then the next option would be to 1. uninstall the game 2. right click on your Windows icon on your desktop and go to run, in the box type %appdata% and then hit enter. there is a folder named Wargaming.net, delete that! 3. restart your computer 4. reinstall the game and run it without mods to see if that has solved your problem. If so then try reinstalling the mods and run the game again. if the problem isn't there then cool, if it returns then supply your required logs that you didn't supply with your original post. The information as to which logs you will need are located here:

Well, aside from the windows haters and folks that suggest that because a program that never had a virus before cannot have one which is sadly an argument that provides no assurance whatsoever, it looks like Norton has the same issue so there is likely some code in one of the mods that is part of a signature of a virus, even if it is not the virus itself. I will go grab a couple of other anti-malware programs and see if I can replicate these findings. I have definitely seen before where a bad signature was chosen that brings in all kinds of false positives.

If someone actually knows the code involved in the module being flagged (I am no Python or Mod expert) and can show it can't possibly be a virus and instead is most likely a false positive, I would be happy to submit that to Norton and Microsoft for them to re-evaluate their choice of signatures.

No one is a windows hater, we all just have a lot of issues with it. It's been a source of problems for a lot of people who use this modpack in may ways. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this modpack and it carries no viruses. I did however suggest a way to confirm that there is no viruses with the modpack above in my first reply to your post so you can put your mind at ease on the issue. and if you read through a the forums this has been an issue that has been brought up before that has confirmed there is no issue with the modpack. Now that is of course that you only downloaded the modpack directly from this site and not somewhere else.
