  1. I´m no wizard at flash but I found out that Trillix was ok when extracting/changing images  and changing texts inside flash objects.       #ImBonzo   Start by finding and unzipping the Cursor.swf.    Any decompiler should be able to extract the images of the "arrow" and "hand" et.c.    Then recolor them in Photoshop.    Add/overwrite them back using decompiler.   Drag and drop the changed Cursor.swf into gui.pkg with ziptool  and confirm changes.

    This was invaluable.

    Thank you SOOOOO much.

I ended up "shopping" Decompilers and found JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler the best for me, a complete novice.

  2. Here's a new one:

I need a joystick. I amputated the tips of the middle 2 fingers of my left hand just after starting WoT. I have learned to compensate somewhat by using just 2 fingers on the WASD keys.

Alternatives like Nostromo do not work for me because of loss of feeling.

Typical joysticks do not work because, for example, programming the joystick for upper-left (northwest) is "AWAWAWAWAWAW" which is not the same as pressing A and W together.

Does anyone out there in the gaming community know of a joystick (or similar controller) in which A plus W works like A plus W???

Is there a way to tweek a programmable joystick to throw the code for A+W when moved up-left, rather than AWAWAWAWAW?

    Thank you.

Even for just taking the time to read this.

  3. There are clues to tell, but never proof:

    >I had a LT circle me at high speed in Ensk crossing all sets of RR tracks while he was doing it. So, you can imagine he was actually flying and bouncing. Every shot in his clip hit a critical spot on my tank. No misses. And he was able to drive at high speed in the circle without hitting any objects (train cars, end-of-track bumpers, etc.).

    >You watch a tracked tank continue moving before the track fully hits the ground (auto repair). The game does not even have time to report "critical hit" to the guy hit before it is repaired, let alone the player's reaction time.

    >You place your sights on am enemy at the edge of your vision. He ducks behind a rock. You move your sights a hair and he pops out. Re-aim, and he hides. Consistently, without fail. No matter how randomly you time your aims (laser).

Play on and do your best. Make the most of your experience.

  4. Surely, Adgi is not suggesting he is using the ILLEGAL autoaim mod?

I believe the OP might be looking for the Arty aim assist (the one mod of several called "aim assist" the most), wherein one presses "G" for activation.

  5. I do not generally display player's names. I really do not care in pubs, and they tend to junk up the screen.

I know how to get a "sq" in gold for a squad mate, but is there a way to display the NAME of the squad mates (only!) in the OTM?

AND/or, your squad mate's (only!) name on the minimap? I figured this one out.

  6. I installed 4.3.15

I changed from Improved Lighting Mod to Mav's Fog remover

    Deleted Spotted Extended by Spotter

    Cleared cache on install

    Arty freeze went away

But, occasionally I get gun sights complete with count-down timer, in the hanger and for the rest of the time I am signed in...meaning each subsequent battle I have 2 gunsights and count-down timers (one frozen, one working).

    Trying 4.3.16 next!

I would love to upload a photo if I were clever enough.

  7. Anyone else getting freezes in arty mode?

So far, it seems random and effects only arty.

I am allowed to fire the first shot, then NOTHING works except moving the mouse.

Clicking the mouse: nyet. Keyboard controls: nope. ESC key: nada. Enter key to chat: zip.

I can watch the game from "god's view" or ctrl-alt-del for Task Manager to stop the game.

I am downloading and installing 4.3.15 to see if it goes away. Will report back.

  8. Thanks for all you do.

As a type-A, and geeky kind of guy I ask: is there a way to print out the installer script (what we see and choose from as opposed to programming script)?

I would like to be able to go through it like a shopping list at my leisure, finding websites and learning more about some of the mods, etc.

My current choice is to make about 20 screen-grabs. :-(

    Thanks!

  9. This is very similar to a contour mod I created. The second biggest difference being that you took the time to include each tank's silhouette, whereas I used a generic one for each classification.

The BIGGEST difference is that you are willing to maintain them and update them with each release. I salute you, sir.

I like them very much and thank you for your efforts!

  10. I moved the largest 7z files (like the colored paintball hits) to a new folder, then ran the installer WITH "Remove the contents of DLC cache (Aslains_DLC_cache folder) at the Installation Type screen to be sure it was clean, then unzipped and installed them manually. If you have ANY experience moving files, it is a snap.

Certainly, Libertas's answer is easier, if you do not want to clean up the cache.

  11. It is my understanding that MODs for reload times on enemy tanks not legal on NA server.

However, I am not a clever enough searcher on the forums to find the post by WG staff in which I am confident I read this.

I was also confident my marriage would last, my kids would love me and my dog wouldn't bite me.

UPDATE: I tripped over an official prohibited mods post from WG NA and I am wrong. Reload times apparently are okay.

Exception: the mini-map mod that shows all enemies that are reloading (as opposed to the one that just shot you and is staring at you).

I would be really happy if someone were to find the OP from WG (Tinatha?? (sp?)) saying it was not legal, as I worry about my mind.
