Im actually having this same problem. My mods worked yesterday morning when I played, came back after work, and nothing. Ive done all that Joey has done like uninstall then reinstall to another drive but still nothing (both game and mod pack). Steam says all is ok, and yes, I installed it to the most current game build folder. Looked at what draco said and all looks fine with the current version, its 0.8.9.1 now tho. No clue whats happened :(

Edit: So I installed some mods manually and they still dont work with the steam version... as I expected, theres something wrong within the game/folder itself

    delete preferences.xml

  2. well you wont need a mod like that if you research ship for ship..
And if you want to use FreeXP its basically around this:
Total is like 840K ish Experience

    T10 ~280k

    T9 ~210k

    Tt8 is 150k

    T7 is  100k

    T6 is   60k

    t5  is 30k

    T4  is 10k

I can not get any screen panels to work, I have tried a couple diffent sets but none of them show up. I get the default side panel but nothing from the mod pack.

    Aslains_WoWs_Logs.zip 213.99 kB · 3 downloads

delete preferences.xml, there are files that store your information and mod information that screws it up.
or just reinstall the game and dont move any old files into the new installed game.
Had the same issue with damagepanel not working, its buggy files.

  4. Hi.
So it was way back I noticed ProShips had an option to run the game at a higher process level, think the game was set at high or above normal.
For me it worked back then and still does now, but now I have to manually do it every time.
Do you know if it was engine_config or preferences/scripts that was modded?

It was called in the modpack:
Run WoWs with higher process priority

  5. It will not display the proper value to a non mod user.
But sometimes it registers players when using 16km torps etc, don't know if the player is using the HP panel, but it shows correct value then.
If the ¨sharing data¨ is only triggered if mod is install on users, i don't know.

  6. This MOD will be like MonstroMarkers, I dont think this will be allowed to use.
Seeing information about enemy ships like consumables and AA I think it will be bannable.
And this isnt someone will use unless they are CV mains... the demand is really low.

  7. redownload the entire game, dont transfer ANY of your files to the new install and install the mods.
Preferences.xml, profile folder and game_info.xml can make mods corrupted. Make sure these things arent in the newly installed folder.

    • Fixed a bug which caused the rudder not to return to the default state in case speed was changed while the collision avoidance system was active;
    • Fixed a bug which caused the collision avoidance system to incorrectly choose the route to bypass islands;

    https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/public-test/bulletin-086/

The automatic collision alert system will divert ships from islands more reliably, with manual control always being a priority.

If you would have read the patch notes you would have known

  9. command..... meaning in battle chat and to notify team mates? There is so such thing.
But there is NO mod other than whats in-game and in Aslain.
If you use the Royal Navy voiceover it says torpedos a stern etc.

There are torpedo warning noises in the modpack

i'm talking about the initial installer. that thing is 120MB big and takes 3 minutes to download.

and thank you, i've been there in ADSL times. But it's ridiculous that i can downlad a 10Gig game on Steam faster than a 120MB mod installer. (500MBit/s down, if you were wondering, so 63MB/s.)

That is what is bothering me. The fact that a download of a 120MB file, in this day and age, takes 3 minutes to be done.

Those are the speeds i'm getting from the 2 working mirrors. Which is absolutely horrible.

Its the browser, I have had that to, I'm using IDM program to accelerate the downloads to max the speed.
If you are using Chrome, try to enable/disable this setting: chrome://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading

Is there not a better way to update the mods the Modpack can download?

Could it not read from a JSON File that's hosted somewhere instead of having to re-download a 120MB file from different slow servers?

    Just a suggestion

The downloads arent slow.. just saying.. Takes 10 sec with 9MB/s, so no idea what you are referring to... its not like 10 sec is slow anyway, go back in time and try ADSL speeds then we can talk
Modstation are doing the same mostly, but for each patch update not mod update.
No idea if Aslain would want that, costs him money to host the files instead of adding a new exe file.

So i just replace the res_mods folder with that one?

Update:  I replaced the game folder with the res_mods  you provided, overwriting all file, launched the game exe, but still no changes.

Need to load the mods manually or edit the launcher to make them works maybe?

Anything else i could try?  The path into bin32\paths.xml that i screened is correct, should i try to uninstall Alsain modpack first?

    Thx for the advices

Download the game again and try that.
Dont copy the old files, start a fresh install, dont save files like preferences.xml.
Make sure your drive and your folders have your windows user permissions.
