Selecting Certain Items, but not having them show up

I have been trying to install the modpack with certain settings. I am wanting to use this layout 

but no matter what I select, it always comes out looking like

Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong so that I can use the one I want.

To clarify, you want different contour icons or different player's panel styles?

To be honest, I'm not sure of the difference ... When I'm in battle I want the view from the top picture ... it's easier for me to understand at a quick look. 

 

I don't like the look of the view in the bottom image when I'm in battle.

 

I hope that makes some sense

It's big difference, because the preview picture is about the player's panel, but not about the contour icons, they are there, but they are not the part of the options you have showed in your screenshot from the installer. If you want contour icons, they can be selected later, in different section of mods.

thanks, finally figured out where I was looking. When I said I didn't understand the difference I meant that I didn't know where to find what I wanted
