Newest updater wont launch

Ever since the newest WOT patch a few days ago I can't launch the Aslain's installer. I click on it and get an immediate message saying the file is corrupt and to download a new one. I did this 8 times with 2 different computers with the same result. Never had this problem before. What could cause this?

Could an antivirus program be falsely and automatically blocking or deleting part of the installer?  I have never had this problem with downloading the installer, so I am only guessing.  After more of us here in Europe wake up, I am sure some of the more nerdy ones of us will gladly chime in....

I found out this morning that you can't use Google Chrome to download the installer or you get a corrupt file. I used Microsoft Edge and everything worked just fine. Thanks for your help.

Google Chrome, and Google in general, does some strange stuff with regards to what they call "security".  About your name, is photography a hobby of yours?

Good catch with the name. Yes, I have owned Canon cameras most of my life although now I am exclusively doing video production work. I thought Canonmaster was a good use of the word "Cannon" in this case as it has a double meaning. Thanks for the Google info.

Before moving to Germany in 2010, I had my own photography studio/business in Mississippi.  Weddings/portraits/schools etc.  I have always owned and used Canon.  Nikon gives me some sort of skin rash when I hold one....
