Compact Carousel Rows

Is it possible to mod the "Compact Carousel" to show the rows with full size ships images?

 

I've been looking for the images (of both size) to see if I can just do a simple swap and have had no luck thus far.

I think the images are the same and the display size is set in the code used to display the images.  Technically, it should be possible to change that size, but I am not a programmer so I don't know how.
