cormad Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 When I move a crew back into an old tank why is the percentage reduced when they came from this tank at 100%. It does not make sense to me and how much does it effect the tank and other perks. Quote
Almace Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Do you mean like: -> you have a crew in tank A and bring it to 100% -> then move it to tank B, retrain it for that tank and bring it to 100% again -> move the same crew back to tank A, retrain it and now it's at 75%/90% (unless you use gold)? If so, then that's normal. The crews don't "remember" which tanks they have been trained for, which is unfortunate but it's how WG does it. =( This doesn't affect perks but it certainly does affect the tank performance. However, if you retrain them to 90%, then it's not too bad (apart from the credit costs) and they should get to 100% quickly enough again. Quote
cormad Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 Exactly, thanks for confirming. it's WG wanting more cash. Quote
Almace Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Yup, it's a way to remove credits from the economy (which is good for the economy, so inflation won't happen as quickly/at all; but it's certainly annoying for people not running a premium account and/or not being unicum = aka. not having many credits to spend). It's normal behavior though and one has to live with it. All it needs is some more planning and you should be fine-ish. =) Quote
cormad Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 It just sucks for me as my brother has started to play and I'm platooning with him in lower tiers so I move my "elite" TD crew back and forth. Quote
Almace Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 So here's what I'd do, probably: If you play tiers 1-3 and you already have a crew of the same kind (TD), just put your good crew into those tanks and play at 75% without retraining the crew (with all skills/perks) for those few games; shouldn't be too many matches, as exp required (for the next tank tier) is rather low. Tier 4, I find tricky, as the exp required, for the next tank, varies. If you need rather huge amounts of exp (and maybe can use a 2nd TD crew), then you could just start a new crew and start training them for another higher tier tank (but it's usually not worth it). Tier 5 is normally when I start keeping the crews, as the exp, for the next tanks, is almost always rather high (so you will get the crew to 100% before you can unlock tier 6). That'd be a good place to start training a new (TD) crew, either for keeping a good low-tier tank or even to retrain it later for a higher tier tank instead. While not having skills/perks sucks, you always have to consider that the majority of lower tier players are sitting in the same boat as you do; except, that they lack the experience of a couple thousand games. Which means that, if you know a little bit how to play, then the lack of 6th sense and such shouldn't matter too much. You don't have to be OP at those tiers and only camping with your camo/situational awareness/6th sense crew can be rather boring as well. Not to mention that you're practically only taking advantage of people who don't even know how to use the WASD keys, read the minimap or have a crew beyond 100% yet. So, take it easy on the retraining and focus more on having fun and organize your crews, so that they will benefit you in the future, rather than for those few low tier games. =) Quote
