  1. Because all of the actual calculations of object movement are done on the server and merely rendered in the client, there is some communication between the client running on your computer and the server that happens when you target a ship.
  2. Sounds like you got everything figured out.
  3. @Sniper You will have to watch the release logs when new version of the ModPack are released. Right after a patch, mods are updated frequently and a new ModPack is release (almost) daily.
  4. You're welcome. Glad we got it figured out for you.
  5. Please include your log files... Also, if you have updated to the new game patch, make sure you are using the Aslain Mod Pack for your version. The version number of the ModPack will match your client version.. for instance, if you are running 0.5.8.1 you need the modpack 8.5.1.xx instead of 5.8.0.xx. If you don't know where to find the log files, please check this post for instructions:
  6. @koklb According to your log files, you are installing a mod called "Custom Battle Loading Screen" that is located near the bottom of the list, but above the Arpeggio of Blue Steel pack. Try not installing that mod.
  7. @FullTank Your logs indicate that you were trying to install multiple mods that can cause problems. Try the ship icons, but without the HP bars. Don't install smoke boundaries or the camera mod.
  8. I am helpful and answer questions all day long including the same questions over and over again. In fact.. the problem you encountered was already reported and answered. I was only condescending to you when you put your snide comment of: And: You can look at my community rating and your community rating to figure out who is more helpful in these forums. I try to answer questions without expecting someone to be a computer wizard because I don't know their knowledge level. If you feel demeaned, sorry about that. You came to a community site, dropped a one liner description of a problem, then didn't share your fix until prompted. That is not how community supported software development works.
  9. Because it takes work to add and remove the items from the ModPack. Those are popular mods so they usually get updated quickly so Aslain could remove it, just to add it back in the next day. Also, Aslain was headed for bed when the patch was released on the NA servers so instead of just making all of us wait a day with a ModPack that would not install any mods, he stayed up and gave us basic functionality. You're welcome for the free resource and free support.
  10. The zoom out mod always needs to be updated by the author. I use different contour mods and the smoke circles without problems.
  11. Then please share your resolution.
  12. @RacerDemon, did you try removing the conflicting mods I suggested? Also, the steps listed by @BirdForce may be required to repair damaged files.
  13. Have you tried launching the game in "safe mode" to prevent the game from loading the mods? You can access that mode from the launcher by clicking on the arrow next to the "Play" button in the WOWS launcher. If you still have problems, you can access an integrity checker from the settings menu of the WOWS launcher to verify file integrity. Although this is not known to cause your specific problem, tou are also loading known conflicting mods with the Swordfish icons with HP bars and the Detection Mod by BlueMan which uses the hud_lib.swf file. You can use one, but not both yet. Details are still being worked out since the update to 0.5.8.0 and now 0.5.8.1.
  14. The camera mods need to be updated with every patch... you just have to wait for the author to update them and publish them so Aslain can include them with the next ModPack update.
  15. @T0XiiCLiberator The Full Arpeggio package includes mods that mess with the hud_lib.swf so you need to either not use it at the same time as the player panels with HP or remove the Player panels with HP.
  16. Try removing the "custom battle loading screen" to see if that clears up the problem.
  17. This isn't the way to "uninstall" the ModPack to see if it is causing the problems you are having.. The quickest way to launch the game without any mods is to use the "safe mode" that is accessed by clicking on the arrow next to the "Play" button on the WOWS launcher. If you game still doesn't start, you can run the WGCheck tool linked below to check for file integrity of the game client. http://dl-support.wargaming.net/wot/ru/wgcheck/WGCheck_EN.zip
  18. Have you guys tried running in "safe mode"? You can select that from the WOWS Launcher by clicking on the little arrow to the right of the "Play" button. The uploaded video appears to show a problem larger than what the mods cause. The Integrity check tool can be downloaded here: http://dl-support.wargaming.net/wot/ru/wgcheck/WGCheck_EN.zip It will "complain" if you have mods installed, but it can also repair damaged files in your client without you having to download the entire game again.
  19. You could try manually renaming the folder inside res_mods to reflect the new version number or wait for Aslain to update the ModPack to work with the new version. I know he is aware of the update and will put out an updated ModPack.
  20. Yes.. those are the files we need. I would start by removing Sixth sense. If you still have problems... then Over Target Markers. Continue until you have your player panels back. Then add the earlier removed mods back until you find the one that broke the player panels.
  21. Didn't someone update the colors though to: Green = moving forward Red = stopped Purple = moving backward
  22. See my comment on your other post.. we need log files.. Otherwise we are only giving educated guesses at solving your problem.
