  1. There's already working Minion sounds and tutorials available. Shouldn't be too long until active modders adjust their sounds for the new engine.
  2. Well, if the installer were corrupted (in the sense that it can't run properly), then every single person would have the same issue, including Aslain himself. Which is not the case. You can also scan the installers on virustotal.com, if you're concerned about malware/viruses. But even people without any security software (which is not recommended anyway) have issues. What's happening is that the installer tries to put files on the PC but the PC says "no, no, you no put that here", for whatever reason. And that's an issue on the local maschine. Different drives (c:, d:, etc.), different users, different folders all can have different degrees of access/permissions, even if you don't know about that or even intended that. So, it can happen that you have a different level of access when simply moving the game from one drive to another or one folder to another. Also, security software gets updates frequently (ideally) as well and more sensitive ones can flag something, even if it is not malicious. So, things do change - again, whether you know about it or not.
  3. Normally, you only have to delete things inside of the res_mods folder (but the game needs an empty 0.9.14 folder to start), to get rid of the mods. If you want to run the installer again anyway though, you simply select "clean install" at the end of the installer, to accomplish the same thing (it deletes res_mods contents before putting mods inside there again). Also, should always use "delete dlc cache" there, to make sure the installer is using the latest mod versions. If you're bored and have the space, you can also try to put your WoT onto your c: drive and try installing the mods with the latest installer.
  4. I'm guessing that you tried running the installer as Admin already? If not, please try that. Another thing you could try is to simply move WoT to a different harddrive (that is not c:), install mods again and see if anything changes.
  5. It probably isn't either of those things but one still should check if they are. Software changes all the time and with each update they can add new rules, that suddenly block things that were fine for years. The same is true for the other end, when mod-developers and -distributers run some new code. They could change something in their software and now it's being picked up by a too sensitive protection software. Anyway, checking this and trying to run as Admin are the easiest/quickest ways to check if the problem is on your end. If those don't help, then you just have to wait for Aslain to check your logs and see if he can find something. Best of luck. ^^
  6. You should attach your .logs, so the problem can be investigated properly. Meanwhile, check what mods are actually checked in the installer, as your "saved options" aren't actually always saved. Especially when mods have to be taken out and re-added to the installer, some mods will automatically be checked or un-checked (in my experience anyway). Maybe something is blocking the installer from actually installing some things - such as your AntiVirus and Firewall softwares. Temporarily disabling those or adding Aslain's to the whitelist there can help. Running the installer as Admin may also be worth a shot.
  7. You can still get old installers for 9.13 in the download section, if you don't have one left yourself. So it should be fine until Asia get's the patch finally. In fact, you should have to deal with less problems until then and get more fixed mods once the patch finally hits. ^^
  8. I've experienced that sometimes you can't open the chat in battle (via Enter key) and for me it's fixed when I minimize and maximize the game again in the taskbar. This also fixes issue with zooms for me (can't zoom in garage and/or zoom in and out too far in battles). But anyway, a proper bug report would still be helpful. http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/9-how-to-report-a-bug-or-issue/
  9. A more detailed description of the issue might be helpful, along with a generally better bug report. http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/9-how-to-report-a-bug-or-issue/ That being said, maybe you simply selected the option "non-xvm hitlogs" in the installer - near the bottom, below damage panels - which overwrites your other selection. See if that's the issue and let us know. Otherwise, continue with a bug report please.
  10. Some mods works and some are still causing issues. Try to only select what you really need to play, in the installer, and maybe you get lucky and find a combination that is not causing too much trouble. In order to investigate and replicate your issues, Aslain needs you to upload your .logs and make a proper bug report. More info can be found here: http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/9-how-to-report-a-bug-or-issue/
  11. Not everyone has this issue (I don't) but there certainly are others who do as well. It's probably a certain mod (or combination of mods) that is causing this for people, like issues with battle results (which I also don't experience). A quick "fix" might be to just use the minimal amount of mods, that you think you really need for comfortable playing. But you could still pick the odd mod(s), which are still faulty/causing issues anyway. Posting your .logs might help identifying the culprit, even if the issue should be known to Aslain already.
  12. Should be the Damage Panels, in the installer, what you're looking for. On the bottom of the installer, there is also a button to show more descriptions and when that is activated, you can also view pictures of most mods. The second question I don't understand though. Could you rephrase that?
  13. Did you de-activate "show vehicle tier" in the ingame settings, under general tab?
  14. Glad it all works out again and an easy fix. =) Have fun as well.
  15. Notice the little lock below your free XP, on top of the screen. If it's locked, it prevents you from using any free XP, same as with the lock below your gold. So, click on the lock (so it unlocks) and your free XP should be available to you again.
  16. Well, those files aren't original game files, afaik. Adding such files, that have nothing to do with the game files, don't do much, if there are no scripts (mods) that utilize them. It won't hurt the game, as the game doesn't know what to do with these files, when you don't use mods who do know what to do with them. And what Grandorf said. It's not clean but was easier for people, than copying all the audio files all the time. Plus, it doesn't hurt any original files anyway.
  17. The files in res > audio are original game files. The way it works with the installer is, that these original files get copied into the res_mods directory and then mods are applied there as well. This way, the original files are never touched, but only the copys of them. Also, the game uses res_mods > audio as the primary source for the ingame sounds, if the folder is present. If you only put 2 files into that folder, then the game only knows these 2 files for sounds (which is why you have to copy all the original files into this folder as well - in order to have all sounds). That's how you should do it, if you don't want to permanently modify your original files (unless you make backups of them). The upside to this is, that you only have to clear out the res_mods folder (and create or leave a folder named as the current version of WoT - 0.9.7), in order to get rid of all the mods and make your game vanilla again.
  18. Did you try to move a different hangar or none at all? Think I've read that hangar sounds mess with it but not 100% certain on that.

  20. A screenshot would help illustrating your issue. If it is the playerspanel, you can edit it's looks in the upper part of the installer and change between different ones in battle by pressing ctrl + tab.
  21. It's probably just missing/outdated fonts on your system. Try downloading the fonts Aslain provides in the download section (where you also get the installer) und install them. XVMSymbols is, likely, already installed (but outdated), so you would have to delete manually (c:\windows\fonts) and install the downloaded one afterwards.
  22. Did you try changing hangar or not using a hangar mod?
  23. Perhaps this: http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/2329-szarik/?hl=szarik
  24. It's just like you said, you simply run the installer another time and check/un-check what you want to change. The installer will remember all your last selections (if you finished the installation until the end), so everything will be installed again - except the changes you make. It's important to use "clean install", which wipes all the mods before installing any again. If you didn't get rid of a specific mod that way, then you, likely, didn't un-check the correct mod. So make sure that you know exactly which mod does what. Also, this works only for the things you install via this modpack. Things you install via other sources (manuall or other installer) can sometimes not been taken care of (if they, for example, modified original game files).
