Is your problem with chat not working properly? Do you use Gambiters damage log?

J1MBOs does not use the file. J1mbos is ok. The problem is probably Gambiters damage log if you are having chat problems. Are you using the latest version of the modpack?

you need to use one of the sights that does not use the mod_sights.pyc script. If you remove this file from the sight that uses it, you will have big problems. Dont know what problems but it will not be good. The sight not working at least.

I had chat problems with Gambiter's without a mod_sight.pyc script sight. Same chat problems with J1MBO's etc.

The reload graphic in standard view is correct, but the reload graphic in strategic (arty) view is not accurate in that it does not reflect the actual reload time. I tried this with various artys and it is always wrong. I do not own tanks so I can not comment on sniper mode. I did not notice a problem with esc/ctrl. In the top image I have 24 seconds left on reload. The bottom image is 7 seconds later and you can see that the graphic is not green or red even though I should have 17 seconds left on reload. When the reload is finished, the graphic becomes green as it should. If you need logs, I will reinstall the sight and post them here.

J1mbos does not use the mod_sight.pyc file that is causing the problem.

Can confirm that the mod_sight.pyc listed above cause the ctrl/esc problems. Sights without it work perfectly.

I think some custom sights are causing the esc/ctrl issue, not the chat issue.

The xvm mini map features are not working yet....the xvm developers have estimated a few more weeks maybe. But, view range circles are now part of the standard mini map options in the game client. Settings>General. You may have to scroll down a bit in the window to see the options. I do not use a mouse wheel, so I can not test your problem, but look at the same settings panel when you check out the mini map settings. There is an option there to "Restrict toggling the Sniper Mode to the shift key". Maybe this is your problem. Just a guess. A quick workaround is to press F1 twice´...chat will now work until the next battle.

I just had a battle where the esc/ctrl keys would not work but also the custom sight was not working. I have noticed that usually when the keys dont work the custom sight is not working. Maybe there is a connection that will help you solve the problem. I made a copy of relevant files/folders in the WoT folder before I played another battle. In the above post, you asked for the inf file. I found two and also included them. If there is another file you need, I probably have it. _Aslain_logs.zip python.log _Aslains_Installer_Options.inf loginstall.inf

probably just the 8 year old system or a bad install related to the age of the computer. from what I heard Trump say the other day...after he gets elected even your computer will work better.....much better.

F1 then F1 to close info box will enable chat usually.

Actually, Aslain tests each version of xvm before he includes it in the modpack, same as always. The XVM devs added that notice and watermark recently for some unknown reason. No worries. As corecroft said, just ignore it if you are getting it from Aslain.

which scale of carousel cells have you selected? Maybe selecting the smallest would help you. I also think that making use of the filters and not having so many rows is the logical solution. Why do you need to see so many tanks all at once?

Your chat does not function at all? Have you tried the workaround of hitting F1 and then esc at the beginning of the battle? That usually makes the chat work.

I had kind of success using the minimap.xc file from sirmax in one of the older builds...I think it was from 6.4.1.1. The aim icon was there but the scaling of the entire site was way too big. I may play with it more tomorrow.

nevermind....I found it. Windows Explorer search is my friend.

Shouldnt there be png files for the mini map sight somewhere in the icons folder or someplace else? A MinimapAim.png? I can not find it.

This is one of the many problems that was created when WG changed the version of the user interface language in WoT from v2 to v3. I use Gambiter's but not any info panels and I have the same problem. Try pressing F1 at the beginning of the battle as this usually corrects the chat box problem for that battle. I am not sure if anyone knows exactly why this is happening.
