  1. You know, if they'd just enlarge the clickable silhouette of the target to allow for less-precise activation of the auto-aim that would be okay too. Sometimes I have to really stop and click-click-click to get it to take because it has to be right on top of a faraway tank (forgot to zoom in those times). Too many fiddly details! Saw where Aslain had added Autoaim+ back in without the snap-to. Guess my mod pack will be lighter because snap-to was the only actual reason I had it lol.
  2. Well, read in the Shoutbox that the snap to is explicitly banned.

With Fair Play I understand that in my circling tanks (Cromwell, etc) I've got to get used to operating with the vanilla Auto Aim...that's no big deal really anyway...IF I lock on before I get to top speed, bouncing all over the place. I miss how the vanilla version doesn't snap onto a target you're pointing in the vicinity of. I don't care about locking on behind rocks or targeting modules or any of the other cheater stuff, but when you're flying toward a tank, trying to hold the reticle on target precisely enough to click auto aim can sometimes be crazy. And I'm too impulsive sometimes to remember to do it before I start my sprint and become visible... I like snap to for another reason. Sometimes you've got two targets really close together, and if you swing wide to the side that your chosen target is on, snap to has enough differentiation between the two targets to pick the correct one. Helps when you misjudged distance and auto aimed on a farther target than you wanted. Thanks for reading.

  6. I've got the same issue. Just a ? on the East. Ping works for both, but only the West shows a total online amount. I'm going to delete the cache and re-download and see if that fixes things.
  7. Ok the clan icon setting did nothing to improve things. Sux.
  8. I didn't know about the 1000 icons setting til today, went and checked mine, and it was set to 50! Is this the default? I don't understand that if it is because my clan is definitely not in the top 50, but I've always seen my icon. Anyway, changed it to 1000 and now I need to go see if that does anything for me, though according to Mojo's post two doors up...I'm not encouraged. I can't believe that would be so much of a resource hog.
  9. Has there ever been any study into a timer which begins when the player fires a shot, and then takes into account line-of-sight, proximity, etc., and counts down to when camo reaches 100% again? I figure it would be illegal, really, but no harm in asking. It would sure help me know when I could reliably start moving out of cover again. Time seems to randomly speed up and slow down in my head during the hot spots of battle, and I end up guessing wrong about time elapsed. :) Thanks for reading.

  11. Thanks for your response, but as I mentioned, I've been updating stats daily...sometimes more than once if I went to the XVM site for any reason. I've been wondering about this for over 3 weeks, so I'm not optimistic it's going to change lol. Thank you...I will ask them. I came here only because I couldn't read the icons which direct one to register to be able to post. :)
  12. I've gone to the XVM support forum, but parts of it aren't translating correctly in my browser, so I can't seem to find information on this. In the Player Panel there is an indicator for the player's average vehicle tier level. In the spoiler on Aslain's download page it is the first column after the player name in the seventh spoiler picture down with the line "Our Team" at the top of it. My issue is that I did for a long time have several lowest-tier vehicles, but after cleaning house I still show it to be a "3". Here's my setup: I only have 13 tanks now, after selling several. Of those, I have... 1 tier 2 2 tier 3 5 tier 4 5 tier 5 How can my average still be tier 3??? Maybe my understanding of this is flawed. For a long time I thought the number was based on the tier in which I've played the most games, and for a while it WAS tier III. Now the majority of my games have been played in tier IV tanks, so I don't understand why I'm not at "4" in the player panel. Elsewhere I've read that the number is based on the actual quantity of tanks owned. But is this currently owned or owned in totality since the beginning of recorded gameplay? If it's currently owned, then it would be the average for me of my tiers 2,3, 4 and 5 tanks, which would actually be 4.1. I wondered if maybe it was just taking a while to update, as XVM defaults to a 3 to 11 day update unless you hit the "update statistics" button every time you update Aslain's modpack...which I do. So by rights that should have taken care of the update issue. Sometimes I do that more than once a day even. This shouldn't matter, but everyone looks at those numbers when waiting to start a game, and even if I've been playing a tier 5 heavy for a while and gotten decently good at it, to see a "3" there automatically classifies me as a tier 3 player. Who wants to look even worse than they naturally do lol? Thanks for any info you throw my way.
  13. As of seeing the NA ban on the latest autoaim mod, I disabled it, only to find that the vanilla version doesn't work now either. This after a clean install and deleting the DLC. Anybody got a clue? Is there perhaps another mod in the latest download that's interfering with it?

Like many here have inferred, the only mods I believe should be illegal are ( a ) ones which reduce the game to a god-mode free-for-all sort of thing, or ( b ) mods which aren't accessible to everyone from the elite to the newbie. Just my opinion :) But I do have to wonder why there IS a difference among different servers. Why are things banned here (NA) but not elsewhere, and vice-versa?
  15. Your trolling method...is this the reason I see people randomly firing shots? Granted, it's usually in the beginning so I guess a more realistic idea would be that they either want to highlight themselves for action on the enemy's radar, or they just like wasting coin.Either way...your idea is pretty slick. :)
  16. Okay, upon examining the Hangman XML file in res_mods\0.9.7, I see that it references a "spaces/hangar_premium_v2" as the hangar path, but it looks like that path doesn't exist. I can't find it. I have not deleted any folders...haven't changed anything. I only did the latest update and now this. Either the mod didn't make the hangar path this go around, or else it deleted it. Any suggestions?
  17. I did the latest 25 update a while ago, and now the arrow keys don't switch garages in Hangman. I'm stuck on the American old town celebration hangar, but there are about 7 or so hangers I'd been using. Any ideas?
  18. It seems to only be doing this when the premium garage is selected. The other garages don't revert.
  19. Has anyone had an issue with a selected hangar reverted to the standard one after every battle? I'd had mine on the premium hangar for a while. I won a day of premium, and when its time ran out, the hangar reverted to the standard dirty one. I switched it back to the premium, but now every time I come back from a battle it's switch back to the standard. Is there maybe a file I can edit to stop this?
